At 77 years old, I resemble that remark. lol I am of the Elvis and Beatles generation. We can actually hear Dan’s awesome voice. Much of the heavy metal is overpowered by the guitars. Dan’s simple black background makes it possible to see the emotion he pours into every song. And the glimpses of his personality in the outros show what a kind, caring and funny guy he is.

I must confess that I have never been that much of a fan of the 'belting out' style of vocals. My taste runs more to Frank Sinatra (and the King's Singers 🙂). The best way to hear AG is with the pipes. AG and Scotland the Brave are far and away the favorite songs played by massed bands at Highland Games in the US.
@19fi60 Жыл бұрын
@@mescko the tune for AG sounds good on the pipes but if your looking for what sounds best played by massed pipes look no further than Highland Cathedral, there are thousand of heartstoppingly beautiful bagpipe tunes but I wouldn't class Scotland the brave as one but each to their own

When the world fades away, Your light remains. In the darkest night, Your love sustains me. You are the light that shines even when the shadows surround me, the hope that pierces through my deepest fears. Through every storm, You calm my soul, Your grace has made me whole. You lift my burdens and carry my cares, and I know that in every high and every low, Your love is my foundation. Your love endures, forever strong. You lift me up, where I belong. In every season, You are near, and Your faithful love casts out my fear. No matter the valleys or mountains I face, Your love stays constant, and I have seen Your goodness through every trial. When I fall, You lift me high. Your mercy flows like the endless sky, and You welcome me time and time again, not holding my failures against me, but covering me with grace. In my weakness, You are strong, reminding me that Your power is perfect in my frailty. Your hand has led me all along, and You are my refuge, my hiding place. No fear can stand, no doubt remains because Your love, O Lord, forever reigns. Forever I'll sing of Your saving grace, declaring Your goodness. Your love endures, forever and always, never fading, never failing. It is stronger than anything I could ever imagine, deeper than the ocean and more powerful than any force. You lift me from despair and place me in the safety of Your arms. You are always near, and Your love covers me completely. This love is my song, my anthem of praise. Forever and always, Your love endures. I lost my husband, moved in with my aunt when things went bad for us Kelvin i owe all my gratitude to you for changing my life from being hoemless to owning a home. help me thank him in prayers info@Kelvinjpro,c0m this are the exact lyrics she sang to my kids every night. ` ;-

I too lost my daughter. She was 39 with my two grandchildren, 5 and 7 very suddenly. I play guitar and played this for her when she was a little girl, and for my middle daughter, when we would out them to bed, i would play them to sleep. THe pain of losing her is unbearable and this song, and how it's sung, brings me comfort. I never thought I'd be able to hear it again. Thank you.

I have heard it sung by the best through the years. I am thinking that you are the one who got it right, really right. I imagine that all the Angels in Heaven stop,,, and hush when you lift your voice and praise God with this precious old hymn. I found your rendition a couple of weeks ago for the first time. I purchased it and listen to it repeatedly. I prefer watching you perform it on KZbin because the emotion you bring is so real and so touching that it makes me weep every single time. I just lost my husband suddenly after 53 1/2 years of what everyone called the best marriage they had ever seen. When I heard you singing Amazing Grace I knew it was going to be the first song at his service which will be next Tuesday August 1, 2023. I have listened to it several times and love it more every time. It will be an honor to play it. I am beyond devastated. Thank you!

But this is the best tendition ever. I have introduced you to many of my :old" friends. They're all trying to fathom how to lose a number of years. You have a fantastic God given talent. Dan, I am a 57yr old veteran and haven’t listened to much metal since HS/College in the 80s. I came across this today. I had tears in my eyes before the harmonica solo and down my cheeks as you hit full metal. From skeptical to very moved. Thank you sir.
