As Bruce said, "They might be bigger than us and they might sell more tickets than us and they might get more gold-plated middle-class bourgeoisie turning up to their shows but they're not Maiden."

Iron Maiden actually got rid of Paul Di'Anno because he was on drugs all the time and he couldn't handle the pressure of touring. In fact I think aul actually left, he wasn't fired.

relatability of lyrics is a stupid point, all of the early Maiden albums were about street violence and gangs in Di'Anno era. By Justice Metallica had already lost the plot lyrically. Also, if Metallica had not been around, it would have been easy for another thrash band to take their place. There were underground bands before Metallica doing slow groovy songs, and there were thrash bands before them

Maiden had some really great songs,and made musical genius.But Metallica made diversity.Every Metallica album has a different sound,vibe,rythym,and voice! IMO,metallica is the better sound,but Maiden is better historically.

metallica have also helped more bands than maiden. they take everyone on tour. fuck, they made garage inc which sold 5 million copies...imagine the royalties that bands like bungie/diamond head received. maiden do nothing like that.

One is the worst song on AJFA.You are the fuckin poser mate how can a shitty ballad can be better than any Maiden song?Metallica has songs like Fight Fire, Disposable Heroes, Metal Militia,TTSB, Damage Inc. Shortest Straw, Trapped Under Ice, No Remorse etc. Yet you posers always like ballads like Fade and One or boring ass Seek to be the best. Hetfield became one of the posers he hated.Load and Reload aren't even metal and Black sucked.Now Lars can't play Kirk can't solo and James can't sing they should have quit after the Damaged Justice tour back in 89.Now they've become a copy of the very Glam bands they hated as teens.Sell outs..
