@@jrimek7408 I was never a fan of Trivium and found out about them few years (or so) back, when they made a song for one of the Mortal Kombat 11 dlc characters trailer, which is Spawn. And this is the second time, basically, when i decided to check out what they did for Metal: Hellsinger (well, what Matt did, basically, but you get my point). And i agree with you on Gamescom show. People there were braindead. I watched the live stream of it, and all i saw what people was doing is, just turned on their phones and just freaking recording all the stuff, instead of having fun. That is not how people should treat a metal show. But yeah, like i said, in comparison to, Mikael Stanne, James Dorton or even Alissa, Matt sounded bad. Very bad on gamescom. And what would fix his singing is, if he did growling instead of that, freaking, hungry cat screaming 😅Cause, it worked for Mikael and James, so it would 100% work for Matt too, if he only foresaw it before going live.

Mastodon, Electric Wizard, Uncle Acid, Dopethrone,and Gojira are all superior. Trivium is just okay. Their drummer isn't great, neither is their lead guitarist. Brann Dailor and Brent Hinds of Mastodon could teach them a lot. Don't believe me.... Check out the songs March of the Fire Ants, Colony of Birchmen, and The Czar

Check out the songs March of The Fire Ants, Blood and Thunder, The Last Baron, and Sleeping Giant. Not saying Trivium are bad. But they are definitely not the goat of metal. Nor is Heafy the GOAT. Brent Hinds blows Heafy out of the water. No contest. Look up picking and solo videos for Brent. Heafy aint got shit on him. The GOATS of modern metal are Mastodon. Of the past easily Black Sabbath.

@@Mothfood3 You're entitled to your opinion. They can play almost every style of metal and very well. Sludge metal, doom metal, death metal (see their first two albums) psychedelic metal, power/speed metal. Listen to Pendulous Skin, The Last Baron, and Hearts Alive. Then get back to me. What bands do you like? I'd like to know. The Last Baron and Hearts Alive both evolve so much from beginning to end. Both songs are a super enjoyable listen and quite a trip. And neither song gets boring at all, and each of those tracks is over 10 minutes long. Very few metal bands, and bands period can achieve that. Crack The Skye and Blood Mountain are both fantastic front to back. And have an evolving sound throughout. No two songs on either of those albums sound derivative of one another nor like any songs on previous albums released at that point. Other than Joseph Merrick off of Leviathan. Pendulous Skin is kind of similar to that track, but the solo and hooks are what set it apart. And both Electric Wizard and Uncle Acid have plenty of tracks that achieve things band like Trivium never have and never will. Funeralopolis and Saturnine by Electric Wizard are out of this world. Same with NightCreeper, Mt Abraxas, and Desert Ceremony by Uncle Acid. All the tracks I mentioned are incredibly unique, flow super well, tell an interesting story...and have some unreal hooks, solos, and riffs. But yeah, either bring some of your own bands and songs that are master class (and explain why), or stfu. I'm quite interested to see what bands your favorite are, and why they are "interesting." And what specifically makes Mastodon uninteresting. When they have such varied sound throughout their albums, an unreal drummer in Brann Dailor (won a metal drumming contest, even beat Danny Carey from Tool). Also, Brent Hinds is an unreal guitar player. And uses a unique style of playing at times which is similar to banjo picking. You can hear this in his guitar solos in both Hearts Alive and in Pendulous Skin. And let's not forget Bill Kelliher. His riffs on Last Baron are unreal. The riff starts at the 8 minute and 20 second mark in the song. But yeah. Let's hear some opinions and some reasons. Doubt you have shit tbh
