Went to see Richard Ashcroft last night at a gig in England. He and his band The Verve did the original. The verve guitarist lived RENs version and sent him one of his guitars.

I’m originally from Brighton, where this video is filmed, but I now live in the north-west of England, just south of Manchester. We live in a small market town on the edge of the Peak District National Park, and as a southerner, I will say that the pubs up here are better than the southern ones - better beer and food, and more social with associated clubs and activities. Yes, I remember staggering home at night from the pubs and clubs of Brighton, when I was a teenager. My mum gave me money for a taxi, but I’m afraid I always spent it on alcohol instead.

I feel your pain on the fire. My sister moved to California a couple years ago. That summer her neighborhood burned because of the Paradise fire. Her house was still standing but 2/3 of the rest were gone. 😢 This was a year after she helped me survive a traumatic house fire in what was our childhood home where I left in only my pajamas. (Smoke alarms save lives, folks.) 💜

I remember the Paradise Fire, that was terrible. I lived in Redding CA, half my life so I know alot of people from that area. I'm happy everyone was ok and you had family. It breaks my heart to the family's who lost lives. 💔
