so this is a sequel to dollhouse and about what actually "goes down in the kitchen". at the end after crybaby's mother drugs her to make her fall asleep and forget everything happened she's wearing angel wings which is a visual metaphor for her innocence dying. she's all about pop surrealism so she writes about subjects other artist won't even consider talking about. next song is carousel

Sippy Cup talks about, how even if you put a mask on something, it’s still going to stay the way it was. At least that’s what I think. I’m getting this from the lyrics “The kids are still depressed when you dress them up.”

Yup exactly. Now matter what you say, you’ll still feel a certain way. Some people can see through it though, but some can’t.

Ashley61107 I think it might be about parents providing and giving everything to their children, but they don’t realise that they are being cared for, so the ‘children’ are just corpses that exist because of the choices the parents made for them. You can see that Melanie is now an angel, her innocence died, her choice died, so her body gave up. The parents didn’t realise that they had caused so much harm, so they used alcohol as a way to show forgiveness or a way to forget it. Plus, with the epigrams at the start, she is saying how things don’t just stop and things will always be the same, like what you said about the masks. They are given identities they don’t want.

Melanie use a lot of metaphors for her songs especially in crybaby album her songs are basically talking about the darkest real life issues I suggest that listen to all of the album.

It was just an extra light source to make a better picture. Doing it right makes a crisper clean picture. If you do it wrong it just blows everything out. Just that extra little touch no one notices but makes me happier with the final product
