Little man is awesome. Smart kid. Articulate and open minded. He seems really mature for his age. You guys should definitely have him back. I love this channel, you guys are really cool. I got this album back in 99 when it came out. I was brand new in the military and I slept with music on since I was a young teenager. I would fall asleep with pantera blasting at full volume and my parents couldn’t understand how I would sleep soundly. They were cool though and would just let me do my thing. So when I was brand new at my first base after training I would sleep in my dorm room with MTV2 on and I remember being half asleep and the wait and bleed video was on so I sat up and waited until the video was over so I could see who the band was because I loved their sound. The next day I drove to the mall to grab the CD and I’ve been a fan ever since. I’ve seen them live front row like 10 times. Just saw them this past August in Massachusetts and it was this entire album pretty much.

The puking that you’re wondering about was originally between Scissors and Eeyore. It was a clip of the initiation with all of them watching the video and you can clearly hear Chris vomit and it splashing onto the floor. My favorite exchange from that clip is when someone says “Just think of it as pudding.” And someone else says “Don’t say that, man. I like pudding.”😂😂 By the way, Corey worked the desk at an adult video store and that’s how they got the tape for the initiation.

Before they broke out on radio, I got to see them at a Halloween show at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC in '99. That was brutal, fun, but brutal. I got hit with f'king trash can thrown from the balcony. But they were AWESOME live, absolute technicians, Joey was incredible in his prime, easily one of the best live drummers I ever saw perform. Corey nailed every song. They were really special during that period, I saw ton of Nu-metal era acts and they were absolutely at the top of giving you your money's worth. I would have recommended finding the original cut of this album with 'Purity', definitely recommend listening to that song on your own, it's one their best. You'll absolutely love Iowa, after that their discography gets a little shaky imo.

I seen slipknot at ozzfest when they first came out in 99.. they played the 2nd stage and i was right in front.. they took the world by storm from that tour and i went on to see them live 10 times since. They put on a hella show, just pure insanity and chaos the whole time.. look up some of their older live videos and u will see how nuts these guys were on stage and how they gst the crowds involved.. people werent ready for this back in 99 and when they arrived onto the scene, it was a game changer. I was 13 when that first album came out, and was hooked ever since. 38 now and still my favorite band to this day.. Iowa is badass too..super heavy.. if u liked this one u will love that one. I got my nose broken in a mosh pit when they did disasterpiece live. What a time to be alive and be able to witness all that madness back in the day. Btw Corey Taylor the lead singer really has a good voice, he is in a 2nd band called stone sour which is still hard rock but not as hard as slipknot.. u get to hear more singing* with that band if u ever wanna check them out just wanted to throw that out there to ya guys in case ya didn't know.
