Honestly one of the best bands from Australia. Every song is a absolute tune in its own way. And yes it’s pronounced ‘Pol-are-is’
@masonpowers74804 жыл бұрын
If you've listened to their debut album, then you'd know this band is fond of doing things to break the simple verse chorus verse chorus breakdown chorus structure of metalcore. They've done this exact structure before where they throw in a random clean sung chorus sounding bit after having a refrain of screams that is clearly meant to be the hook. It's one of the things they do best and at first it's jarring but it absolutely grows on you.

I'm really starting to get into Polaris!!! I think if you like them, you should check out Alpha Wolf! My favorite song by them is Sub Zero, Russian Roulette, Golden Fate; Winter Break, or Black Mamba😁 Is it Pol-air-is or Pol-ahr-is?

I think they had the reintro as a part of their hype building process. If they exploded at the beginning it may have messed with the flow of the breakdowns at the end. As to that 2nd chorus, idk wtf that was about 🤣 it dug it. Dudes voices was sick. Very talented band.

Don’t stress too much about the arrangement. It’s prog. It’s fresh that a band isn’t sticking to the conventional intro verse chorus verse chorus bridge breakdown chorus Outro style like we predict music to sound like. What these guys have done with this song is extremely unique. It takes away from the comfort zone we all sit in, and leaves you on the edge of your seat waiting to hear the unexpected. 🤘

I don't know man, I really like when a band tries to move away a bit from that typical intro-verse-chorus-verse-chorus-bridge-chorus formula, I think that the 2nd chorus or whatever was a nice change of pace and without it, the song wouldn't float as nicely if it was just a heavy smashsmashing all the way thourgh. But that's just my opinion. Other than that, I have seen them 2 times live, both as a support act and the crowd was shredded to pieces before the main band came on stage, so yeah, definetly go see them if you get the chance. :D

Sounds like that intro/re-intro is verse 1 and 2 next to each other. Then the slightly altered bit after it with the different feel is like a pre-chorus. Also that clean chorus is like a chorus extension. Flows well I thought!

Usually I am not that big of a fan of reaction videos since mostly people sit there and look at the video with nothing much going on. You on the other hand actually drop some comments and give your musically sound opinion, which I really enjoy. Also, your facial expressions make this 100x times better, you either look like you finally creamed your pants when a breakdown hits or look genuinely disappointed if there is none (I like to remember the Slaughter to Prevail-video when the first solo hits, haha.) Keep 'em coming!

Polaris have released 3 tracks off their new record so far, and although we already know how incredibly talented and amazing the instrumentalists are, I think the biggest thing to come from this is how amazing the vocals are. We know Jamie can scream and Jake can sing, but we've seen Jamie SINGING CLEANS on Masochist and he sounded amazing (we've heard a little bit of singing on songs like Dusk to Day), and on top of that Jake has added harsh vocals to Landmine and Hypermania. I think this album is going to be AOTY for me, I love these guys and they at the moment cannot set a foot wrong.

I think my favourite thing about this song is that they don't blow their load on that first breakdown. Almost every single reaction I've seen seems to have an air of "hmmmm...." about the first drop, but it's all for the greater good in my opinion. Makes that ending hit so fucking hard. This song is an experience.
