Every time, & I mean *every* time, I've gone to see them since my first time at Donington '91, James has to turn to Lars at points to give him a beat with an exaggerated right arm & emphatic head nods. If Lars helps arrange the songs in some way, fine.... if he's James' best bud, fine.... but can we have a drummer who can *keep time* for the live shows please? He's been phoning it in since they finished touring Justice (over 30yrs ago!), & a drummer who can't keep time would have been replaced for live duties in most other bands. So frustrating. Take a look at footage of that time Lars "had to go to the hospital", & Lombardo & Jordison stepped up as emergency replacements rather than having to cancel the headline slot altogether. Hetfield seems shook by the fact it's possible to have a rock-solid tempo being kept thru the songs!! LOL :)

Metallica wouldn't exist without Lars. As James has said, it's Lars' band. And he's one of the main writers.

Have to question if ur actually metal musicians if ur actually reacting to this version of Metallica. Anyone who is a fan of metal knows their best performances were when they all had long hair.

Not sure if you’re joking or being serious 😂 what does hair length have to do with musicians ability? Each to their own, if you didn’t enjoy (which we hope you did) then you did not have to click on the video, you could have clicked on a video from when they had long hair!

@@TriggeredTuesdays it has nothing 2 do with their hair but still it does. When they had long hair is when they had or gave their best performances. As they got older they are not able to play as well. After the Black album they went a decade with an almost mail it in attitude. You can see it in their albums as live performances at the time. Once they got their sh*t back together they simply did not have the same skills. If you don’t believe me listen to a studio track off Lightening or Master then a live performance 89-91 timeframe then something 2010+. You will see they have changed and adapted those tracks simply because they can not shred like they use to. It’s no disrespect to Metallica, as one gets older fingers are not as nimble. With that said hence my comment. If you were true metalheads you would know this. It’s why I have to question that!

I’m not sure why it matters who is true metalheads or not, we all enjoy music and all enjoy different music. I didn’t realise you meant Metallica when they were younger. Makes sense!

@@geraldgore2247 um, yes it is. It’s kind of sad if ur to blind or deaf to see that. The fact is they simply can’t play the same as they did back when they had long hair. If one actually listens to something they performed now to back in 89 to their recordings one would notice many differences. Those differences is from them not being able to play as they did as they were younger. Even some of the members like Kirk as also stated as much!
