Ive been watching your videos for years now with very little understanding of what was actually happening, but I was still always listening and trying to figure out what was happening. Now this year in high school im taking chemistry and im doing great because everything ive been watching in your videos and other videos is starting to make sense in my head. Thanks for the great videos Cody.

If you pay his Patreon you can watch the videos while they're Unlisted, that's usually when they're taken down, before most people tend to watch. That also means the people (or person) that reports his videos is a Patreon supporter. Unless it was automatically taken down but his "How to make Nitrogen" videos (old and new) get taken down by reporting.

I don't know, Cody said he doesn't know why he's being targeted because King of Random and many others have similar videos that aren't being taken down. Even his old video that I subbed to him for was "Making Gun Powder from Urine" was taken down and that's been on KZbin for like 6+ years

Cody puts a lot of time into making these videos; coming up with an idea, preparing for it, doing it, filming it, editing it. It's not a trivial amount of work. Chucking a couple bucks in the hat to show your appreciation is something you should do anyway, if we all did Cody would be able to spend a lot more of his time making this content that we all enjoy so much. We have to support the things we love or they will die and it literally only takes a dollar or so when we all contribute. I've seen channels that I enjoyed but didn't think to support turn into KZbin turds full of clickbait, over-reactions and worst of all a tool for soulless advertiser shilling and it wasn't their fault they just needed to make a living and because people like myself didn't think to support them they were forced to either stop making content or turn to garbage. Really shocked people are complaining about Cody holding back a bit of information that isn't even really necessary for what the video is about he always said this isn't for making money it's for enjoying and learning through the process.

The content level of your videos is almost unmatched on KZbin. I cannot comprehend why there are people pushing to get strikes against this channel. This is REAL science. This is exactly the reason why we know how to refine metals, because people sat and figured this stuff out, and it is awesome to watch modern people using these techniques outside of a laboratory environment. Keep it up Cody, this is what KZbin, and the internet in general is all about, not little kids playing Minecraft.

Could you do a Titanium refining video? Probably not worth your money or time to do it in practice. But I'll be happy with just an explanation of the process. Just want to know exactly how hard it is. Ti is as abundant as Aluminium, but tougher by weight. The reason it isn't everywhere is because it's so costly to refine.

First you have to extract the titanium from ore with a stream of chlorine gas at high temperatures, then it has to be heated to like 2200 degrees with a reducing metal under an inert atmosphere in a steel reaction vessel and held at that Tempe for a few days until it's done reacting. It's not really something you can do at home.

I love this channel! I was worried about the silver when you did that gold video, I was thinking "oh damn he is sacrificing all that lovely silver? that sucks!", but you recovered it! I learned a lot from watching both videos, it's amazing how these things can just be turned into liquid and then powder, and then bars again. I never liked chemistry and found it boring, but you sure have changed my mind there! Amazing stuff, I hope you get a billion subs!

I heard of this thing called freedom of information.. Cody's been proponent of it quite some time. Because the value of the gold was so essential on the video, it was kinda weird to then censor one number because of "concern of public jumping the gun". What made those people in Patreon so trustworthy that they wouldn't start hoarding gold from ebay? Buck a month makes you smart? People with access beyond paywall do know what to do and the others don't? Yeah, that was not the Cody's proudest moment. Besides that, i am happy subscriber and will be long into the foreseeable future. // No one is immune to criticism

Alaric Balthi the object, is Cody doesn't seem to be the best at costing out every consumable used. Chemicals and electricity are part of the cost. If he calculated in time, it would probably always be a loss at these low volumes.

@Alaric Balthi: I think the idea is that if a bunch of his patrons jump on a bad investment, it's hurting a lot fewer people than if a few of his subscribers jump on it. (Also, if they have money to be patrons, they're less likely to need a good ROI to get by.)

Next time cast your copper into a open grid/lattice instead of a monolithic copper turd, and you won't have to wait so long for it to react the silver out of solution. :) Also it seems like an air stone or a stir bar would be of use here.

Or screw casting altogether and use ezaf to acquire stripped copper wire zero need to remelt and could have hooked up to a DC converted power supply with a zinc cathode/ anode to expedite the entire process and a stir bar/ airstone really would not have helped unless the mix was kept at a constant regulated / elevated temp which would have also expedited the process

The cyan appearance of the solution in this vid was extremely pleasing to my eyes. Berol (or was it Steadtler, I forget, it was in the 80's) made a pencil with the colour named as "Sea Green", the solution you had was pretty much the same. Hey Cody, you should look up Patrick Adair Designs on KZbin - he also works with the Waterjet Guys from time to time. He can turn some of those precious metals back into jewellery for you, if you look at his works on his channel they are pretty great.

Awesome video dude!! loved how the solution looked after the big stir and it resembled the surface Jupiter, I couldn't believe how beautiful it looked, now all I can think about is how cool it would be to have a lava lamp type device that looked like that lol. StAsh.

I showed your video to a guy owning a precious metal refining business and he said he would really wonder if you were making any money if you take the cost for chemicals and energy into calculation. He buys tons of jewellery each month to get gold and silver off and he also refines tons of platinum catalyzers and chemical sediments. At least where i live the needed chemicals are way too expensive plus some are controlled by the government and not avialable for normal citizens.

Hey Cody! please make videos about ordinary rocks and pebbles. I want to learn to speculate about the chemical composition of seemingly unimportant rocks. It will be very interesting to see you collecting some random rocks and speculate about their composition by looking at their colors, lines, shape, etc.

Hey Cody, really enjoy your vids, especially like these on metal refining and recovery. If you are into Sci-fi books there is a good series about a scientist in a gov. lab doing this same work. The Skylark series by E.E. Doc. Smith. , way back in the 30's you'd like it!
