Looks like what I’d expect a Metal Robot Nu a gundam would look like, which is pretty good…but I already have the original RD and the expansion set with beam barrier. I just can’t justify upgrading Now, a Metal Robot Sazabi with full effects….I could not resist

Just go get the metal structure Sazabi :) Although a MRD Sazabi will also be instantly going into my collection as well. By the way, that new metallic Nightingale is too good looking to skip. So glad I didn't buy the original one or it would make this purchase a harder decision.

I’ve always preferred the standard asymmetrical Nu, but this one does look sweet with all the funnels deployed.

Watching your video made me want to start looking for pre-owned Mass Production Nu Gundam, and also the Gundam Base limited Nu Gundam dummy balloon soft vinyl,, to accompany my Nu Gundam.

The vinyl is not exactly soft unfortunately. It is not squeezable at all. I messed with it in GB Tokyo and decided not to get it. If it were a plush-like doll I would grab a few instantly.

How do you feel about the choice of yellow for the v-fin and chest vents? I thought they clashed a bit due to how plastic they looked when a simple color tweak or coating change of the yellow would have made it match the matte paint better. I just feel like for the price they charge for these figures they can't be making simple mistakes like that.

Hope the release a standard version, not may Gundams have that perfect aesthetics but the Nu is close.

i watched the review i swear, and if i missed it i apologize but is it possible to display it like the standard asymmetrical Nu at all? really love that this doesn't have the ver ka dimensions, but if it can't do the regular funnel backpack i don't think i'll be picking it up.

I think this double funnel Nu is not much of a worthy opponent vs a MRD Sazabi. Not that it is bad looking but it is just rather standard and uninspiring. It is neither totally authentic to the OG design of Nu nor ground breaking like the Ver.ka MG or the RG. It is sort of in the middle with some really questionable design choices (face plate, beam rifle, shoulder armor and the yellow on the figure). The nightingale though looks like a major upgrade from its last version and I personally think it is a must buy. I am with you though if I have to choose between the two, Sazabi is a much cooler looking MS by many miles.

The hi nu was always my favorite version. I'm not a big fan of asymmetrical ms. But the double funnel set up looks good. Do the ver ka come with a whole bunch of decals like the gunpla?

The yellow plastic on the chest and the head fin is super cheap looking though. Just yellow molded plastic and not painted. for such a physically small piece it really brings the entire figure down in feel/quality because it's so noticeable.
