1986 I was at a veterans hospital over Christmas with my dad. One night a group came to sing and I was in the small auditorium with a bunch of veterans in their pajamas and we all sang Amazing Grace together. A great memory.

Daniel sang this song the way it was meant to be sung, forever. Someone may have already said this but since I'm too lazy ATM to check I'll just say here that Dan's metal band is Fearless and currently they don't play live outside Brazil. The harmonica he plays was given to him by his father, who was also a musician, when Dan was 7. His dad passed away a few years ago. Dan did a lovely tribute to him; sorry I don't have that link here. Hunt it down and discover more Dan. You won't be disappointed! Dan's mother was also an opera singer but it took him a while to decide that music was calling him and is actually what he wants to do. He's very honest about his journey. I'm grateful he decided this is the path to follow!!!!

6/30/23 It's even more amazing each time you hear it. Please watch this in private and feel God's presence in your very soul. I found Dan Vasc less than 3 weeks ago and can't stop listening to his covers of so many genres of music. I've become a metal fan. I'm hearing songs I didn't know existed 3 weeks ago. What a ride it's been so far. I do listen to this video daily, plus a few new songs and a couple others that blow me away. I had this version of Amazing Grace played at my Mother's funeral. Most of my family members are in to country, pop or rap music. And when I played this to my sisters and brothers at the planning of the funeral arrangements, they could not control their emotions. I am a metal and rock guitarist and everyone expected me not to add a song to the funeral playlist. But as people visited the wake, and paid their last respects, every one of them asked me who was singing and playing this version and how to get a copy of it. I simply told them... Dan Vasc.

It's so trippy to watch all of these reaction channels that I'm familiar with react to Dan Vasc. I forst discovered him when I first tuned into the Friday Night Tights stream a year and a half ago. He made an awesome original song for their intro that instantly hooked me into that show. Been watching that stream every single week since. Then I checked out some of these covers like this one. Also got familiarized with him through the streams of those in that sphere, because he shows up sometimes on the streams. I love the stream he did with Chrissy Mayr, in which he got to talk more in depth of what he likes and what he does and has done. Loved his story about Christopher Lee, though it's unfortunate about Christopher Lee passing before he could get him on his album.

His range on that one is even more impressive. He also sings real opera - check out NESSUN DORMA, and TIME TO SAY GOODBYE. Dan Vasc's success reflects his hard work, dedication and passion for his craft. This boy is a true combination of talent, hard work and determination!!!! It will literally be the song you sing and pull you into your world. Dan's music absolutely blew me away. He seems to have a very good head on his shoulders and a wonderful sense of humor. A special young man with a special wonderful voice. Many are surprised by the fandom of the older age group. I consider intrusive, violent fans, regardless of age group, to be jerks! I just quietly note that I listened to metal music when He was just a pleasant thought to his mother. I love what you do and how you do it! i respect him for that!!!!

I too wish it were sung with this power. When I sang it (poorly) in church I could feel it needed this. But I couldn't ever get it out. Dan developed the power to do so. Few or no one could do this. It's humbling.
