If you go to some toppers pizzas, they have a metal slug 2 game in their arcade sections. Same with Bowling alleys, and Chuck E Cheeses.

So, what I'm getting from this, is that the real games slow down just as bad on a real machine. Good to know. I thought it was the fact that I was emulating the games that was causing the slowdown. Nope, just how the game is.

If you get metal slug anthology on PlayStation there’s no slowdown

​@@rammi2vicious454 you still get the slowdowns on the european and american ports of metal slug 2 on the anthology collection , but not on the japanese port of of it or the psp versions of anthology

this game was hell of fun, but poorly programmed. So much that they released Metal Slug X, that is just basically MS2 but with much less slowdown. Same for KoF 97 (lots of slowdowns) and 98 (much less)

Metal Slug 2 runs like slop, which is why they released X.

Not bad... been ages since I played this on a real machine although I'd smash that highscore in the first 2 levels lol... not bad gameplay... next time try to go for a cleaner run.. ie get more secrets and a better high score
