Lovingly repaired. When I was growing up we had a huge stand up full hight slot machine in the attic - always wondered how my parents managed to haul it up. It used to crap out quite a bit so my dad was often fixing it. As a kid I actually liked the weird quirky machine but it didn't manage to entice me that much that it made me actually spend any money on the machines out there in the wild. Still I like the chrome, sounds, glitter but won't put any money in those :P Dad ended up throwing it out - I have no memory of where it went to. Same with my original MacPlus and harddrive - ah well that's what you get when you leave stuff in your parent's attic after moving out to attend college/university :) Very nice looking machine sir.

That's got to be the coolest game themed slot machine I've ever seen. Such an awesome Metal Slug collector's piece. Loved all the graphics in the LCD screen. Great work on restoring the machine Luke!

Sweet MS Pachislo! I had a Popeye one I found at a Cash America, picked it up for $40. Fixed and cleaned it. It was stupid loud without any pots hooked up. Ended up selling it for $300 at a garage sale, I miss it sometimes...sometimes.

found one of these for 100 bucks in a greater los angeles area flea market i'd say its in 9/10 condition and works great, and even came with the key to open it up and to turn it on inside. I filled it full of chuckie cheese tokens now lol

I've got one of these as well as the Jet Set Radio one, both very dull to play, but look great. I've never seen the submarine battle before either (or that constant payout mission game you got for that matter), maybe I need to play it some more.

hey luke would you mind translating the settings and other stuff on machine especially the inside stuff of the machine. I got one of these a few years back. Wonderful! Thank you for sharing this! I never put a single coin into all these slot machines we have in the western world but I'd play the Japanese ones for sure! But I don't get it, are these actually Yen coins you put in? I thought gambling was prohibited there, that's why they have these Pachinko machines with the small balls you put in. Can you maybe explain please?

luke i know its a long shot, but by any chance could you direct me to a place that sells and would ship to the uk/arcade cab shells? i am after a 2player 6 button a player slim stand up type. basicly a street fighter 2 style cab. dosnt have to have any internals or monitor and dosnt have to be new ether. its just i have been hunting the uk for a couple of years now and had no luck. i want it for a mame project. just thought i would give you mr lukemorse1 a try.

I love Metal Slug, and this looks like a piece I would love too own, but here in South Carolina slot machines have been illegal too own in any shape, or form sense at least late 90's when people here voted too outlaw video poker machines, do too a few big cases of dumbass mothers leaving there kids in cars to go play the machines in "Poker Palaces"(use to work for one in High School), and one infant child ended up dying in the summer heat while locked in the car, while the mother went inside got drunk, and played the machines.
