When You Believe is a song from Prince of Egypt, the animated musical movie about Moses, by DreamWorks. PhantaCity was a program where they paired a singer with a director, and gave them three days to come up with a script, rehearse the mini musical, then act and edit it live behind stage. That was Dimash’s first foray into acting. As you said, now, he is a veteran of music videos. No, he has never kissed an actress in any video, except close enough to appear as if he did, in the MV for Golden.

The song, If I Never Breathe Again was written about a true story where a young woman is diagnosed with terminal cancer soon after she is engaged. This sing is written from thr nan's perspective. Even though she died, he would " do i\t all again". I guess you know that Dimadh now sings this song at concerts for the Dears. The other song,when You Believe, is from the movie Prince of Egypt. It was famously sung as a duet by the great Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey about 20 years ago.

This was so cute, & enjoyable. I've seen it several times. I think he was still 22 there. No, he doesn't kiss. The only kissing he ever does is women's, or children's foreheads/cheeks, & never romantically, on any young woman. At least when he said his mum had told him no kissing, the directors respected that.

The director, crew and actors had 3 days to prepare (that's why we watched Dimash overcome his resistances, learn to fight and... love❤), and then the whole thing was broadcast live!😮 Dimash sang live, fought, cried and... loved live😍 This is not an ordinary MV, it is more like watching a piece of a musical🙂 Mesmerasing🔥 It's amazing how much Dimash has developed as an actor since then, but... Dimash makes us cry just with his voice! Yes he'd be a great actor, he strives so hard for perfection in all that he does, and his natural humility and sweetness always shines through. I believe this is the first time I’ve seen a reaction to this entire video with Dimash. I’ve watched this before and I believe it was shortly after the I am Singer launch in 2017…. So probably around 23 years old. Such a respectful and talented young man! I agree that Dimash could easily parlay his career into film as well, but actors - there are many: Dimash- there is only one. Let’s admire him however he may shine in our lives. Cheers from Canada!

Great reaction, John. If you think about it, the script was kind of heart wrenching. "If I Never Breathe Again" was a song written for another real life tragic love story about 20 years ago. Dimash has never kissed an actress on camera. Always came very close or looking very suggestive or an actress kissed him on the cheek but kind of covered it with her hands (I think in Golden?) As you saw in the behind the sceen clip, he came close to kissing scene and he quickly backed off saying, "Wait, Mom said do not kiss" Remember, Dimash came from a traditional conservative Muslim family. He has kept his personal life/relationship very private. Many people has tried to ask about his possible girlfriend, if any, and he always said that it's private and not anyone's business. Dimash being tall and good looking and with his amazing voice, no wonder millions of young women fall for him.

This is a performance, not a video shoot. PhantaCity is a programme where a musical story is being acted & shot live before an audience. Basically it's musical theatre, only in a film studio instead of on a stage. So this is why there are a couple of days rehearsal, and then the whole thing is shot in one go. It's a very cool concept!

There are treatments for all kinds of addiction on this planet. But NO treatment for Dimash addiction. I will try not to listen to Dimash for a week but once he starts that first note, you're in another world. eg. going through his MV's from when he was 5 years old, and be mesmerized 😅. I'm sad but also glad that I can't go to any of his concerts - because I will save every last penny to go to the next one. When he performed "The Story of One Sky" at his concert (before releasing the magnificent piece of art of the MV), some audience members posted their fan cams quite quickly and as I watched it, I knew I would've been on my knees crying. Have a wonderful, blessed & mesmerizing concert to all of you who go and support him. ❤❤❤
