You’re absolutely right about the structure of his mouth, the back of the mouth is very open, the soft palate is raised, the mouth is rounded and the tongue is lowered, yes that description sounds weird to anyone who doesn’t sing or hasn’t sung before, but ironically that’s exactly how I knew Dimash’s voice was real, I watched his mouth, yes I used to sing classically. It automatically deepens the tone or makes it fuller, I guess that’s how you’d describe it IDK 😂. I was So thrilled to see that you had watched this (and Okay), this is such a historic moment in Dimash’s life, and apparently it was Placido’s grandson who introduced Dimash’s voice to Placido from KZbin, so this was all at Placido’s request, which is So Amazing! I know, you can’t tell I am excited at All. Have a great night Dears❤.

it is a wonderful treat to see the legendary placido domingo -- opera singer, conductor, arts administrator -- still perform in his 80s. although he is singing more as a baritone in this duet due to his age, the qualities that has made mr domingo a megastar of the opera world is still there. a true maestro! people sometimes forget that dimash qudaibergen is himself a trained opera singer, and that he was once offered a job at his country's main opera house. so it must have been a thrill for him to be able to perform this classic duet with the maestro!

Thank you so much!!! It was one of Dimash's dreams to meet and work with Maestro Domingo. Dimash shared that, as a 5 year old, he had a VHS of a concert by Maestro Domingo and he dreamed from that day to have the opportunity to meet him. We Dears waited about a month for this release and we are all so happy. I am sure Dimash appreciated the opportunity to support young artists at the invitation of Maestro Domingo.

Many years ago I had some vocal training and yeah, my coach used to talk about shaping your mouth and throat like you were yawning. Another technical thing I notice is the way the two of them make their vibratos match up. I know Dimash’s thing is the crazy vocal gymnastics but I’ve been dying to hear him sing just plain opera, and to hear him sing with the great Placido Domingo (my dad’s favorite tenor) just made it that much better. Great reaction, John, as always. According to another reactor who was an opera tenor, this particular song was a very difficult piece to perform, and Dimash performed it flawlessly. Maestro Placido Domigo, in case you didn't know, who was one of the original Three Tenors. Domingo is in his 80's now, but still sound amazing. I caught a short video when Domingo met Dimash. Maestro Domigo was so excited as he met Dimash and recognized Dimash. Domingo said his grandson follows Dimash. Dimash, of course, was so respectful and gracious, and he said to Domingo that it was a huge honor to meet Domingo at last, said that back when he was 5 years old in the late 90's, he had a tape of the Three Tenors performance, and he listened to it over and over, so he said to Domingo, "I came to music, because of you..." This duet was a dream come true for Dimash. Domingo sang the baritone part of the duet while Dimash performed the tenor. So perfectly performed. The power and the harmonies. Remember, Dimash was offered a position in Astana Opera to be an opera singer when he graduated from university, but Dimash turned down the job offer, and of course, the rest was history. Dimash sounded like a fully fledged opera singer, but we all know he is so much more than that. Dimash cannot be put in a box. Only love and respect for Dimash.

Wanted to really point out: People don't realize how MUCH of an honor this was, not only because one of the most beautiful tenors in the world chose him to sing this song, but because he allowed him to take the higher tenor and he chose the lower tenor, because even though his voice is still spectacular even at his young age of 83, it's more difficult for him to sing the higher tenors. That he chose Dimash to share this spectacular operatic song is the HIGHEST of honors and Dimash must be over the MOON. It's exactly where he was fated to be since the day he was born and he's finally arrived. Also, did you notice the stare that Placido gave him towards the end, right after the moment that you mentioned Dimash clenched his fist? Almost like Placido, himself was in awe of the strength of his voice. This was almost too unbearable to watch in it's sheer beauty. I have for some time been hoping for Dimash to sing with Domingo and Bocelli (another great opera singer still living from the older generation). It would be like a new version of the famous "Three Tenors". You could look up the Three Tenors video and see them, amongst other songs, singing "My Way" in front of Frank Sinatra. Singing with Domingo completed half my dream but a very fulfilling one. Bravo Dimash.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Maestro Placido Domingo is one of the members of " The three tenors" alongside " Luciano Pavaroti " and " Jose Carreras."" This particular performance happened at the end of part one program in Budapest, called" Virtuosos." Dimash alongside maestro Domingo were part of a group of judges. ( program is about young age participants, who are musicians) So, as Dimash said , it was his childhood dream to sing alongside Maestro Placido Domingo( he is 83 years of age. " And he was extremely happy and grateful for this collaboration. Actually, I have got very emotional watching and listening to them. Fantastic performance 👏 ❤❤✨️✨️✨️✨️

Maestro Domingo is 81 now and while his voice may not have the power it once did, it's still beautiful. Dimash did a superb job of blending with him. Dimash has obviously been training his voice in the lower registers and seems to be headed to the other end of the keyboard. I have no doubt he will make it.
