JK went out of his comfort zone to create this song from the house dance genre. In the context of the genre, the repetitive chorus is supposed to be an instrumental section, a representative feature of house music but JK eliminated the use of instruments and used his instrument instead - his voice. Didn’t understand that long, winded chorus early on, but now I truly appreciate his concept. This is self composed btw & I can’t thank him enough for this beautiful, brilliant gift! ❤

Hes credited for Writing, composing, producing and vocal arrangement. The repetitive chorus was meant to have a choreo performance but he didnt have time before enlisting. When the song was released he sent a weverse message apologising blaming himself that he couldnt do the performance video and to forgive the repetitiveness. For me i find it an addictive hook. He could have just had the instrumental for it but singing it over amd over gets stuck in your head.

@@shahidashawai2642 me too. There was literally no promo, no MV, no remixes, no collab, no SB but they still accuse him of Payola and also can't write because of that chorus. Like you say real ARMY get it and support him, it's the solo stans that are the problem. It's fine not to like a song but to try and discredit him over it is just being toxic.

JK always gives us such sweet lyrics. He wrote, arranged and produced the song. I had to adjust to the repetative chorus at first. But JK explained it was ment to be used for a housedance video (like he was into last year), but he hadn't enough time. It totally made sense. And now it feels like a bop to me. Safe trip!

Jungkook said the "never let go" repeated chorus part is long because he actually tailored that part for a house dance performance. But he didn't had enough time to record the performance before going to military. He was taking house dance lessons back in 2022. It'd have been more amazing to see the performance aswell but still it's so good. Love how these festa songs are these unhinged outlets for his creative freedom We got a jazz-lofi hit SWY, lyrics from our wv messages My You and now a hyperpop fused pop track because he got inspired from a sample... he's so UNPREDICTABLE and I love that. I also read in my travels that in verse 1 where Jungkook says "Never Let Go" he says it 11xs representing BTS' 11th Anniversary and in verse 2 he says "Never Let Go" 12xs representing next year with BTS.
