I didn’t mean to be rude or disrespectful, I’ve just simply never been a fan of his music. Great vocalist to say the least from what I’ve heard from him!

Ed Sheeran might be the best sing/songwriter from the last 20 years. He is a pure masterpiece. And adding this with the metalcore of BMTH just makes Bad Habits even better.
@thrownaway60202 жыл бұрын
He's a musical genius, sure, but being a musical genius doesn't mean what they make will always be good. I'm not speaking in defense of Kyle, this is my own. I do think Ed Sheeran's reached his peak. Now he's got the skills and knowledge, but I feel he's not really using them to make anything actually impressive at all for the past 3-4 years. Like the Christmas song he did with Elton John... there are already heaps of them appraising the season. Rather than coming at it on a different angle about the holiday, he wrote another thing that added himself to the generic pile... I'm sorry, for a song that's been performed by a music legend and written by an A-list singer/songwriter, it felt lazy. Like it was purely made to market a song with little to no substance, but it gets out there solely because it's got two big names slapped on top. He hasn't grown much at all musically for the past few years, yet still getting media appraisal for such mediocre song-writing.
@GlynTaylor2 жыл бұрын
@@thrownaway6020 you're right in that not everything he makes it good, that's a lot to do with taste tho and normal for all artists. Also, Google "songs wrote by Ed sheeran", and take into account his collaboration albums, and features. The guy is 💯 a music making machine and one of the best in the game, who constantly has chart hits. I wouldn't call his top hits in the past few years mediocre, it's pop yeah, but that's the aim, to be most popular. I agree about the Christmas song, but then that's exactly what a Christmas song is by definition (horrendous guff), you want it to be added to that pile and tick all those boxes, which it did. I definitely want to see more experimental music from him in the future, along side the pop hits. He's in the studio right now with bmth working on music with them, so I'm sure that will have a big influence on him, bmth are incredible and always brave and experimental with their music

I like Ed Sheeran’s first album. He kinda fell off for me after that. Ed Sheeran is actually a pretty big Metal fan. He’s said he loves Slipknot and Cradle Of Filth. Him and Dani Filth have been hanging out and talking about collabing.

Shame Oli is using live Autotune. It's very apparent at times. 3:08 for example. Listen to the correction and bend when he says " I barely". Rock artists shouldn't be using Autotune. But they're obviously on stage with a massive pop artist and more mainstream than they've ever been.
