@@seedofahman The vocal cords actually are used. Every single scream you can do uses the vocal cords in someway. They may not be producing an audible pitch and they aren’t used in creating the distortion, but they are used in every single scream there is mostly to create higher pressures air to vibrate other parts of the throat. Edit: A lot of the time there is an audible pitch from the true folds but it’s eq’d out.

It was good but nothing special which is kinda to be expected because a female generally will have a higher voice than a male. That’s why you can hear that higher pitch from her vocal folds and that lower pitch from the false folds. If her natural voice could get a bit deeper it would sound a lot better. But right now those lows sound like Olly Sikes on the first BMTH album. She could also fix it by opening up her true chords a bit more and compress a little with her abs. That would quiet down her true cords a little bit.

I'll do you one better. Try to get people to attempt more hardcore-oriented screams. Orchid, Linkin Park , Secret Band, any shout vocals normally do the trick. Gets them extra stuck up when they go hoarse immediately and can't get the sound 😂
