This just transported me to my younger self discovering Token of Time via Encyclopedia Metallum in 2004. An era later I am absolutely loving the empowering clean vocal hooks, relentless double kicks, the harmonic melodies that combine the ancient and the new. Like a reminder that the time when everything seemed possible and magical isn't behind us. It's now. It motivates to shake off the dust and face all the sorrow and strife that life can throw at us together. The instrumental breakdown into double tempo into the key change.... Instead of thinking back to how great the good old days were, we get to share that same fire that got our blood pumping all those years ago. Nice song, the main riff is awesome, but I would have loved more combinations and interactions with the different vocal parts, it feel a bit too compartmentalized in the song... Some harsh backing vocals during the last chorus would have been so cool in my opinion ! Is it Sami who does the narrative talking voice ? Ensiferum roxxx 🤘🏻🔥

For my taste this song is very dull and boring, no exciting melodies or riffs. I’m happy to be wrong when the album comes out but so far looks like its gonna be disappointing. At least we have the fantasy metal project to listen if we crave for old school ensiferum 😅

Reminds me alot of "Heathen Throne" and "The Longest Journey", which IMO is high praise. The last single also reminded me of the "From Afar" album in general, particularly the title track. So far the new album is like a combination of From Afar and Thalassic, which IMO are the 2 best post-Jari Ensiferum albums.

The song is glorious! Kippis Guys! However this is not the main reason I am compelled to interact with the algorithm. 😄 I've just went through description where Winter Storm Track Listing is mentioned. Number 12 in special edition bonus track version is a cover version of Lambada by Kaoma. There is a lot to comment here...but I'll be laconic. Please don't tell me this is an instrumental version of the song, I am dying to listen to some Portuguese with Finnish accent and dance to that too. 😂🤟
