djaguitarx For the most part i don't think i saw them using the 8th string in this video. I haven't seen them live either (i live in Australia). Lol if i was Greg i so wouldn't be bothered learning all my riffs in a new position… they might be easier to play with less stretches using the 8th string, but you'd build up muscle memory anyway and play the riffs using a certain position all the time.

Brilliant musicians, and as far back as the Beatles, deep down, everyone loves a band that doesn't take itself too seriously; nothing wrong with a laugh, and your latest film clip where you bring out the Wheel of Genres is fantastic. My only negative comment is why can't the vocalist ditch the Darth Vader voice? It is now a cliche worthy of a band on the muppets. I am sure he has a great voice, so save your throat and let us hear it.

The gutturel deep-throated dog growling which apart from being shreeding of the vocal chords, has become a cliche which any band doing this music has to wear like a school unfiorm.

read "shreeding" as shredding; here in Australia we have lots of copycats doing the growling vocals but it too, sounds like a drover ordering his dog to get in behind the sheep. Don't misunderstand, the music and lyrics of this band are great but the vocal style is cliched and now a little silly, and denigrates the ability of all the band.
