Glad you had a peaceful, Adele-free, day!!! I humorously lean toward saying, “Mr. T”. The rake idea is inspiring. Hardware mesh would make for smaller holes if preferred. Electrolysis is something that is very helpful. Would be nice to learn more about it. Sci Finds showed how to use an old phone charger, which is pretty safe, (instead of an old car battery).

Perhaps off the subject, but thought you might like a way to clean those corroded coins. As a distiller, we use a cleaning compound called "551" which is easily made. The formula is: 500ml water, 50ml Hydrogen Peroxide (standard 3% found anywhere), and 1 oz. of Citric Acid (found at health food/vitamin stores or even Amazon). Mix the solution up, scrub off the worst of the crap on the coins, and just drop them into the solution. You will be amazed at how quickly they will shine up. This 551 will work on copper, clad, and silver. Give it a try, think you will be pleased.

Awesome tip, thanks for sharing. Any thoughts on cleaning Roman coins with that sruff?
@rocketsroc3 жыл бұрын
@@willkleespies8682 A note on this solution: If you are one of those who wants to preserve say an antique coin's patina of a coin or relic, this solution will strip that patina off, so keep that in mind. I use it especially on clad coins which often are found in rough condition. I'm not a collector, I just search for treasure so I clean everything with 551. There are several videos online that deal with cleaning rare coins. Check online.

I used to "mudlark" along the salt marshes of the North Shore of Long Island in the '60s. Arrowheads could still be found...and were. But the amount of stuff was NOTHING like D.H.B. Before I move on to that great detecting field in the sky I would love to make it down there.

We’ve all come to see the same occasional comment by previous individuals. But the reality is the majority of us couldn’t be without such celebratory excitement. 😀✌🏼 “This is fun club”.😜 The hunts and lessons are most worthy to watch so try to get yourself acquainted. New viewers especially will not always understand. It took me a bit to “dig it”.

Merrill have you noticed the channels that have subscribers through the roof mostly have some hot chick in them. With your wife's permission this Summer get some hot Bikini clad babe and give her a metal detector she won't even have to turn it on all she has to do is be there. I guarantee your subscriber count will go up.

The Fouled Anchor is the emblem of the Rate of Chief Petty Officer of the United States Navy. The fouled anchor has long been the symbol of the Chief Petty Officer. In terms of the Chief, the fouled anchor symbolizes the trials and tribulations that every Chief Petty Officer must endure on a daily basis. Attached to the Anchor is a length of chain and the letters U.S.N. To the novice, the anchor, chain and letters only identify a Chief Petty Officer of the United States Navy, but, to a Chief, these have a more noble and glorious meaning. The "U" stands for Unity, which reminds us of cooperation, maintaining harmony and continuity of purpose and action. The "S"stands for Service, which reminds us of service to our God, our fellow man and our Navy. The "N" stands for Navigation, which reminds us to keep ourselves on a true course so that we may walk upright before God and man in our transactions with all mankind, but especially with our fellow Chiefs. The Chain is symbolic of flexibility and reminds us of the chain of life that we forge day by day, link by link and may it be forged with Honor, Morality and Virtue. The Anchor is emblematic of the hope and glory of the fulfillment of all God's promises to our souls. The golden or precious Anchor by which we must be kept steadfast in faith and encouraged to abide in our proper station amidst the storm of temptation, affliction and persecution.
