Hey there Merrill, I really enjoyed this episode with the other three I watched earlier today. It's always a treat to watch you detect and cut up, you're a great entertainer with your wit and your tips are awesome. Have you ever considered starting you own TV show? you know, something like a TV talk show with fellow metal detectors, plus with a hot phone line for advice on the show for other metal detectors. There they can share their tips and you can continue to share your tips, and then show their finds along with what you find, may be like a show and tell to drew interest. Great day off hunting Merrill.. Love the scooter..I picked up 2 of the razor Metro's for me and my girlfriend.. We use them for getting around camping up. N.h... Same price u paid. Butt more comfy cruising..25mph for 11 miles.. 250pnd max.. Saw a guy on KZbin over 300 pnds cruising around no problem..I was sold lol

My wife is Japanese. She said the coin is a 10 yen coin minted in 1921. It's 75% copper and 25% nickel. (Sorry) In Japan the coin retails for 3$. Great find!

Hi Merrill. I'm not an expert on Japanese coins but what you have is a 5 SEN from the Taisho period. That was from 1917 to 1923. I think yours is 1921. It takes 100 SEN to equal 1 YEN. In this period they were NOT made of silver. Their composition was 75 percent copper and 25 percent nickel. So you should remove it from "The Box." GL&HH. P.S. That composition is the same as most U.S. nickels so see what you get for reading with your Equinox.
