As somebody who plays 2 instruments and does many different kinds of art, you fail to realize how we still can't do so much. Being able to play a song doesn't compare to knowing math skills required for your age group or being quick at grasping history facts. I cannot do anything school requires of me. All I can do is play and make art. I fail more than I achieve even though at home people only see me achieve. I am achieving nothing but something that makes me happy. Not something that matters truly.

2:33 I have a theory about that clock cause it was set to a time of 2 minutes and 58 seconds meaning that Glam intentionally or not knew the class would only last that long cause if something him or his son did, so maybe in the back of Glam’s mind he knew he wouldn’t be able to do lessons with his son cause of his past. I believe like some others that Glam has BPD or DID, and I think he has 3 alters(different identities/personalities) which is Glam, Sebastian (young Glam), and the last one which is like a small piece of his father that never got always from him. And in this lesson the “Father” (I’ll just call it that) came out during some moments. I don’t have DID myself so correct me if I’m wrong, from what I heard people who have DID can sometimes tell when they’re switching between alters which we see when Glam serval times in the lesson tries to take control again knowing this might have happened which is why he set the clock cause with this drastic change of alters and Dee’s frustration the lesson would be so short Glam could predict the perfect time it would end before Dee walked out or Glam would have to put a stop to the lesson cause it would become to much for him.

Hell it's funny because the most basic escapes is one most student can't do to me even after simply 5 years of training. I think the most unsettling thing was he didn't acknowledge how he was acting until the timer went off. He didn't realise how he was acting, or that he was projecting during 'lesson time'. I feel bad for Dee because that's... kind of what I was like in guitar class in school. My teacher was a great guy. Jovial, helpful, informative, supportive.... but... I wasn't interested in theory... I wasn't really interested in learning the basics... I didn't even like trying to learn chords. I just looked up tabs for bits of songs I liked. He shot himself in the foot saying he 'knew all that stuff', but didn't have the proper foundations to handle what was being asked of him. I feel bad for Glam because I know he would never want to be that person.

I feel that Glam's anger is also due to how important the guitar was to him gaining his freedom, and seeing Dee being so flippant regarding it (not wanting to learn the basics) pissed him off. *edit* ok! so, according to the creators this scene was actually about Glam treating Dee like Dee has a tendency to treat others (IE: like they're stupid for not getting things right away), so Glam did the same to him. Weather or not Dee absorbed the lesson or understood the point of it, is unknown. However, I do believe the issue is quite complex, so I believe rather than it just being about the above, I also think it's to do with Glam being partially offended and other things as well.

Buuuuuut as soon as Dee showed he was uncomfortable, he backed off and apologized. Still doesnt make it right, but that makes him WAY better than his dad.
@autumncats3 жыл бұрын
@@graciethebelle Oh, I totally agree. I feel that his Gustav moment was when we was telling Dee how untalented he was. Very severe imo, but I also understand. Poor Glam and poor Dee.
@katusha88913 жыл бұрын
Actually, this is what the creators of the cartoon said. Glam realised that Dee only needed to learn how to play the guitar to impress the girl. And as for Glam the guitar means much more than just impressing someone, he thought it would be right to spare his son this idea.
@neo02yavizim3 жыл бұрын
@@katusha8891 yep, you can tell by his expression at 2:28 mark, Glam was offended by Dee and although it isn't his son's fault I can sympathize with glam. Despite his awful upbringing I believe he managed that well, and he made his son understand how harsh being a musician is, after all, Dee CAN'T play the guitar.

This ep makes me so sad every time I watch it. Dee is clearly a child prodigy, gotten from Glam, so its harder for him to learn newer or more non-academic based things like guitar. Glam getting angry with him then realizing and apologizing is what I like to call 'abusive accidents' not when you accidentally abuse someone or anything but when a survivor accidentally does something their abuser did. Glam's "abusive accident" was him starting to act like his dad, and I do not blame him for doing so since it's hard to control, but he should've handle teach Dee a bit better, since he knew that Dee wasnt all educated in the musical field.
@dino34832 жыл бұрын
I understand this well, with both Dee and glam,, Because I also catch myself acting like my abusers towards other people and I tend to apologize right away or try and make it up for it later on. And with Dee when I first started playing instruments. I gave up a few times with a guitar and a piano, and it's still hard for me to learn new things like instruments. I'm not exactly a prodigy child but since I was young my grades were great til now,

alot of people have been like "im shocked Glam was acting like his dad" or "its sad that Glam is acting like his father" Glam is simply projecting. When going through something as traumatic as what Glam went through as a child, it's easy to then project that onto your own kids.

In the original, in principle, the characters are more emotional. From the series with poker, in which all the main characters are present, I realized that the actors do not hold out, I believe that they can play in a similar way, but apparently they were simply not told "more emotionally", from this sometimes it feels like they are just reading from a piece of paper with an expression that puts pressure on perception. But this is at least something, I think it's better than if people who do not know Russian would read the subtitles, and so you can enjoy watching, listening to the characters in English. And, I hope, Alina and Dima still receive money from monetization, as they planned, because they deserve it.

I noticed that the lip sync wasn't matching up very well. I guess this is why anime has the mouths just open and close to the syllables. Its a lot easier to match up for different languages.
