You can tell, Midori is a superstar. She was born for this. Music is her destiny. She loves to perform. Miyako might be more at home in the studio writing music, but they are all superstars in their own right. They put on the best shows. They are keeping true old-school metal alive. I see a lot of their fans are older dudes, who grew-up with this style of music. It's also nice to see younger fans appreciate them too!

Dean Icon series. They are Top of the Line. Miyako is a Dean Endorsed artist so all her guitars are either Custom or Flagship examples. Midori's EII's are Top of the Line MIJ ESP's. All their gear is Top shelf stuff. Hell 2 Kemper power racks is over 5k alone.

LOVEBITES: 🐺Miho - bass, backing vocals (in August 2021 she left the group). 🐺Haruna - drums. 🐺Midori - guitars, backing vocals. 🐺Miyako (Mi-Ya)- guitars, piano, keyboards, backing vocals. 🐺Asami - lead vocals, piano. 🐺Miho started playing bass in high school.She came up with the idea of creating a group and in what musical direction the group will move. 🐺Haruna has played drums since she was thirteen years old, and began writing songs on a keyboard at fourteen. Haruna is the smallest (4 '9 ") and the youngest of the ladies, but appearances are deceiving. When Haruna sits down at the drums, this is the "small Nuclear Reactor." She is one of the best drummers in Japan. * Miho (bass) and Haruna (drums) are the band's powerful foundation! Being in the back of the stage and attracting less attention to themselves, they create conditions by their play that allow Asami, Midori, Miyako to shine. 🐺Midori (blonde hair) started to learn piano at around two years of age and electric organ at eight. She started studying guitar at the age of 20. Super guitarist! She surpasses many male guitarists in speed and technique of playing the guitar. Graduated from ESP / MI JAPAN Osaka , GIT-DX department (superfast guitar department). ESP / MI JAPAN Osaka is an international music school , headquartered in Hollywood, California, USA. 🐺Miyako (black hair) has played classical piano since she was three and guitar at the age of 18. A pianist of the highest level, playing classical pieces with ease. Super guitarist! They call her "The Golden Touch" and she is a real musical genius. Miyako is the main composer of the group, she wrote over 50% of the music. * Miyako and Mi-Ya are the same lady. On the debut EP "The Lovebites" ( May, 2017) and on the first album "Awakening from Abyss"(October, 2017) , her name was written as Mi-Ya , on the following albums - Miyako. * One music critic said that two guitarists of this level (Midori and Miyako) in the same group is a crime!😊 🐺Asami comes from a R&B and soul music background . Starting at the age of two, she performed classical ballet for about 16 years (notice how her hands move) before moving to America after high school to study jazz and hip-hop dance. Plays the piano. Asami wrote most of the lyrics of the group's songs. She speaks English, albeit with a Japanese accent. All songs LOVEBITES are written in English.

Miyako is the more introverted one. In their first live DVD "Daugthers of the Dawn", she was a bit more lively on stage. Perhaps you'd like to react to the song Bravehearted from that concert. For newer fans, a simple way to remember the names of the Ms is alphabetically, Midori left, Miho (bass) center, Miyako right :) before 2018, it was the opposite and switched side in a concert in Paris

Miyako is the Goddess of Justice. That seems to be the visage they portray. Miyako is really a sweet and engaging woman. She has a channel called Miyako Metal. I'm a Southern American Dumbass too. But I think the "WAH, WAH" is a Japanese thing. I've heard other Japanese rock/metal singers do the same including Saiki of Band Maid. Anyone from Japan, feel free to clarify if you'd like. I'm also an old guitarist. The over hand soloing is an old '80s trick just to show off. It does kind of f*ck with your muscle memory a bit though.

I also think it is a regional thing. In the west it is "hey, hey, hey" but in Japan, and possibly other Asian countries, it is "wah, wah, wah". I have heard it from other Japanese bands besides Lovebites and Band-Maid.

Nice, if you want to go harder with Lovebites check out M.D.O. It’s like old Metallica if you ask me. Also, it looks like you haven’t checked out Raise Some Hell which is the ladies at their most active, all over the stage. Check both of those from the Zepp DiverCity concert. If you can find the Live version of Frozen Serenade, you have to see that. It’s more epic power metal but it’s a masterpiece.

The left side guitar is Midori!! I like this song, it's not on my top 10 but it's great for sure. Like Ron said it seems the Wah,Wah,Wah, is more of a Japanese thing. It also kind of bugged me at first but i got used to it. If you want another song with an amazing solo section check out "We the United"! Its the song they closed this show with! 🤘🐺🎸

For something different, I HIGHLY recommend you check out WAGAKKI BAND. They are a mega-talented supergroup with 8 members. They use a mix of traditional Japanese instruments and style, as well as modern instruments. The singer, Yuko Suzuhana, is a goddess who plays piano, sings, dances with fan and sword, and wears the most beautiful outfits. They are not really a "metal" group, but their songwriting covers the whole range of what can be done. They have many songs and videos, and I would recommend watching as much as you can. Their music videos are big-budget productions, and they always put on the best live shows. Start with: "Sun Wheel", "Reload Dead", "Akatsuki No Ito", "Sasameyuki", "Homura", "Aria Of Life", and pretty much anything from "Symphonic Live Vol.2". Yuko san also teaches music, and she does solo stuff too. If you want to expand your musical horizons... look no further than Wagakki Band. They are amazing.

When all you did was study and train as a classical pianist from age 3 to 18 it is hard to shake that composure and emotional containment as that is part of that scene. She is not going to jump around to make a show of what she does, it just isn't her. And it is pitiful that you have to look up the names, still. ...ha. :)
