Another vote here for Russia on Ice but also check out ‘Yellow hedgerow dreamscape’ from the Staircase infinities disc that accompanied the Album Up the Downstair. A deep cut live Jam that just builds and builds (no live vid but the music is on YT)

Richard on keys is PT's secret weapon as Steven calls him :)

Bear in mind also this is Early Porcupine Tree music, quite early and before their Prog Metal period.

Although you may have a lot left to discover within his discography... it would be nice if you could react to tracks from his latest album (2022), for example HARRIDAN... You'll like it for sure. A greeting from Spain.

Check out this one out: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qXO0n3eEndZrgsk a medly of Strip the Soul which merges into .3 Genius as always! Thanks again for diving into the wonderful world of Steven Wilson - whether with Porcupine Tree or his solo. I do chuckle along with you at your ongoing struggles with his lifelong dedication to playing barefoot. I absolutely love the statement he makes by determinedly doing that. Even when playing in the hallowed hall of the Royal Albert Hall in London - its still barefoot all the way. It fits with his warts and all approach to life and music.

Hope that you find your keyboard player however Richard Barbieri’s are a bit thin on the ground……………. Can i also suggest that you check out some of Stevens solo work particularly from the Home invasion concert at the Royal Albert hall London. Two tracks I’m sure you would like are ‘Detonation’ and ‘Ancestral’ but beware, Steven had assembled another set of Musical avengers for that tour!

Try The Start of Something Beautiful (live), or Luminol (Seven Wilson solo project)

Dang, when that bass line kicked in I immediately was getting Depeche Mode vibes for whatever reason, haha. It obviously evolved a bit beyond that as the song progress of course though, lol. The ending on this one was killer though, loved that. I might just have to give Porcupine Tree some more of my attention, hmmm.... I come to you with a song/band request though. Here's my pitch to you: Its not metal, it's not proggy. I think I saw in a video a while back (or perhaps community post?) that you were looking to get into other genres. So with that in mind, I thought I'd take you in a different direction. I've been in the Philippines for a little over a year now and about a month ago, I stumbled into a pretty solid band by accident at a concert out here. They're of the indie folk rock variety. Maybe not what you'd normally branch out into, but maybe you'll still like it? Haha Oh, and if you're concerned about language barrier, their songs are in English. Anyway, the band is: The Ransom Collective Song is called: Tides Its not their biggest hit (that would be Settled), but I've chosen not to pick that one out because I think the major key in it might be too much for you to handle, haha. So I think Tides might be a better fit for you instead

METEAL HEAD - Here's a bit of trivia for you.... Richard Barbieri, the keyboard player was in the band in the 80's called Japan... VERY new wave and I would imagine not your thing at all... BUT, he was doing the soundscapes way back then too....
