Takayoshi Ohmura was the apprentice of Fujioka Mikio who also used to be a guitarist of BABYMETAL before he tragically passed away in 2018. Ohmura is now a legend on his own! Master guitarist!

How cool to find a metal channel in Italian :) As a Brazilian from São Paulo, I understand some parts without help. Please continue with the reactions, I love the Italian way of expressing and Babymetal related stuff. I suggest that you look for female rock bands from Japan, it's a vast and exciting world. Some names: Band-Maid, Lovebites, Nemophila, Mary's Blood, Aldious, Bridear, Fate Gear and others.

You said it reminded you of Malmsteen. The wonderful guitarist you initially thought might be a woman Takayoshi San, was the student of the late Mikio Fujioka. Yngwie Malmsteen was an early influence on Mikio San, so you are hearing Malmsteen's influence passed down through the generations!

Alot of Japanese metal guitar players were greatly influenced by Yngwie. I noticed that almost all of them frequently uses harmonic minor and diminished arpeggios. It's not surprising since japan is one of those countries where yngwie played big shows. Japan has a relatively high percentage of yngwie fans, and metal fans in general.

3:08 first solo is from BABYMETAL DEATH, second is the intro to Amore. BABYMETAL were already aiming high even before the Kami Band, but they were really a game changer at the time, especially for BM success abroad. I mean, it's pretty obvious that without a live band there would have not been any Sonisphere or touring with RHCP, Korn, Metallica etc. And yes Leda has been more relevant in the compositions and arrangements, but on stage, Ohmura makes all the difference. You can tell especially looking at their dreadful 2018 tour. Of course we all know that Mikio was indeed the soul of the band, an outstanding guitarist, him walking on stage during RoR at the Tokyo Dome is a picture unforgettable. 🤘🦊⚡
