think some of the points made here have deep Italian cultural references to our politics that could be difficult to understand for foreigners. For example, he mentions CasaPound which is a fascist party (unofficially because the government prohibits any political party to be fascist). So when he says that "I have a Che Guevara t-shirt and go to CasaPound" he literally means that he is going to be beaten soundly because CasaPound (whose name derives from Ezra Pound, American poet and strong supporter of fascism and Mussolini) notoriously hates communists. Another reference to Italian politics is the northern league (which should be called Lega Nord and its members leghisti), a right-wing party that in the past was for the independence of the Padania region in the north of Italy. There is a huge irony in the part where he mentions Lega Nord because he says that he will support an independent Padania (which was Lega Nord's objective) so that he can call the Leghisti "extracomunitari". Extracomunitari by definition are all the people outside of the European Community (EU) but Lega Nord often used it as a derogatory way to call the immigrants and the "outsiders". So Caparezza is saying that if the Leghisti are outside of the EU, then Leghisti are extracomunitari too. This is an example but also in the next verses it is clear that Caparezza is being sarcastic and that he is making fun of the stupidity of the people who try to categorise him based on ideologies ..... buona notte

Fuck ya'll! :) 💙🙏 Fascists and leghisti ( they're also homofobes, not just racists) should stop. Just stop lol Vive la revolutión! 🏳️🌈

Also, for context: this song is a direct answer to those who call him "a communist" (since he's openly leftist, which in Italy like most countries doesn't necessarily mean to be a communist lol) and he puns with the fact that "communists are in your minds only (meaning his haters see something that it's not there) just like they are in mine" (because he's crazy in the video, which takes place in his head where there are communists, just like those people accuse him to be). There are also a lot of cultural references but one of my favourites has to be "they say it's not ok to put the foosball's ballilas upside down". Ballila(s) are both those players figures in table football and how kids were called during the fascists era. Mussolini (the fascist dictator) was also hanged upside down, so being upside down is connected to fascism in the italian imaginary.
@gdm30453 жыл бұрын
I'm adding my comment as a plus: in the song he also refers to "CasaPound", which is a neo fascist and populist group in Italy famous for its anarchy and violence. In the video they are the guys with the black jackets and shirts.

@Hika Ross not to contradict you, but he IS openly communist. And I don't mean it as a way to bash him, I'm communist too lol He even used to go to meetings of Alternativa Comunista (Communist Alternative), a small italian communist party. It's also easily understandable from the lyrics of his most political songs.

Caparezza wrote many songs that are both very enjoyable/catchy and with a quite deep meaning. However all of those are quite difficult to translate because they are full of puns linked with Italian common saying. Among those, the ones I recall the most are: "Dalla parte del toro" ("Siding with the bull", charaterised by tunes typical of the corrida). "Vengo dalla luna" ("I'm from the Moon", on xenophobia). "Eroe" ("Hero", on "everyday heroes" that manages to keep their families safe and rise their children, charaterised by tunes typical of spaghetti western movies). "Abiura di me" ("Abjuration of myself" On the necessity to "go to the next level", charaterised by tunes typical of the videogames). "Argenti vive" ("Argenti lives" on the prevalence of bullies. Filippo Argenti was told to be young Dante Alighieri's bully in real life, and is in Dante's Inferno among the violents):

It's a song joking about people who accuse him of being a communist. CasaPound is the Italian fascist party, they're horrible, and people from the far right who support them always accuse everyone who doesn't agree with them of being a communist. So Caparezza got fed up with their bullshit and wrote this song to make fun of these people and mock fascists in general. There's also a lot of references to government censorship in Russia, which tries to suppress any ideas that go against the Propaganda, just like fascists would like to do, showing that the far left and far right aren't so different after all in terms of tolerating ideas and opinions that don't agree with them. Brilliant song.
