Thanks for "Show Must Go On" !!! Great! ... heaven of Freddie Mercury !!! But Dimash, as a crossoverist, can make a gem out of anything. But in his repertoire there are several basic categories. Compositions by the phenomenal composer Igor Krutoy are a large number of Dimash's songs. Here I would start with the song "OLIMPICO" (Ogni Pietra)! Another category is "Jackson's" (songs in the style of Michael Jackson), where his own song "BE WITH ME" is a great example! Nobody knew or heard Dimash before and he had to start first ... and after his first song "SOS" Dimash captured the hearts of over 600 million viewers and a mega-star was born overnight. The next day, bodyguards stood in front of his door. "The Show Must Go On" was the 3. song in the competition. Participants have one week to learn the lyrics and arrange the song. Dimash did not speak English at this point. The competition consisted of 14 rounds over 4 months. The jury consisted of 500 spectators who knew music, not just your average "Joe". They were well screened to be sure they would be able to judge the musicians fairly and competently. With up to 1 billion people watching this TV program and international interest was aroused. The Chinese organizers planned... but Dimash came, sang and stayed ... for the next 3 years in China ... but he only finished second in the competition because he is not Chinese (conditions have changed: 2018, Jessie J. won). Fun Fact: Dimash didn't know how to speak English when he went on the show. He had 1 week to learn each song. Here's the thing, every song he sings is different. Different tempo, feeling and surprise. You can't say things like I thought that was it, because it's never "it". You have done several reactions and each song was very different, even the genre's are different, and you STILL have more to come. The reason he's like a snowball, is that each time someone new hears him, they want to hear more. It's not just the singing, he really owns the stage and puts on a whole musical. He is educated, proper, shy, respectful and very mindful of the people around him. He has donated millions of dollars to different causes (you should listen to the "Covid" song We Are One kzbin.info/www/bejne/q4qtaYWkp79-nK8 ) and yet despite all that, he's only 28 (in 9 days). Can you imagine with his training every day, what next year will be like? Don’t forget to wish Dimash a Happy Belated birthday. He turned 28 on May 24, 2022. The Singer competition was in 2017 and he’s 22 during this performance. It’s his 2nd performance ion what he calls the adult stage. His English is 85% better now. He didn’t know English during this competition and again he’s only 22 during this performance. I get a little irritated when people say he’s not human because he is 100% human. He’s been training since age 5 and he strives for perfection which we should all do. He’s a very talented and very humble young man who has fans around the world. Problem with American singers is that they can’t perform unless they are half naked, rap songs here make you think you are supposed to kill someone, dancers should be behind closed doors in a bedroom. I am 65 now but have only enjoyed a handful of American singers. Many can’t sing but can dance provacatively. Dimash has worked really hard since age 5. He is extremely respectful and has fans of all ages and from many many countries. I don’t like crowds but would love to see him live. He had his first solo concert at the Barclays Center in NY. He was so happy because he said that had alway been a dream of his since he was a little boy. He wrote the song Unforgettable Day and he sang that song because just singing in NY would always be an Unforgettable Day for him. Just observe how much better he is now at age 28. I just love him. There is so, so much to love about this human being who worked really hard to get to where he is now. Your reaction was great. Thank you.🇺🇸🙏
