Eros has been one of the most important european artists of the last 40 years. He sold over 60 million albums around the world and made duets with the likes of Tina Turner, Cher, Anastacia, Santana and Joe Cocker. He never sang in english but his spanish language albums were regularly distributed in the states due to high popularity among the latin communities (In the USA he used to sell an average 500 000 copies per album). Now he's 60, he does not sell like before but he still makes good AOR albums with great international musicians.

So happy to see you react to Eros. My little story: the first pocket money I ever got back in 1990 I spent on getting this album of Eros Ramazzotti in vinyl. My collection has now over 500 vinyls but I will always remember with love the excitement of that first time of putting it on and listening to it. I was lucky to attend one of his concerts four years ago he sounds amazing live he is a true dedicated artist. So 22 years ago my love for music started with an Italian and though in the mid years I listened mostly to American music, I am now back to being a fan of Italians again with Måneskin. Life is such a weird lovely game when it comes full circle ❤️

I think Ramazzotti is the last real giant of Italian music, he stands there at the top with many of the best. Singers like Masini or Ferro, although excellent, have not reached his level.
