the song is a complete metaphor. when gaga sings "i'm still in love with judas" it somehow symbolizes how we can't help but to love the people who give us hell sometimes. she plays the role of mary magdalene here. this video was insanely controversial at the time as many religious protests were held outside her concerts and she was also banned from entering Indonesia.
