I think that Tiziano Ferro, together with Cesare Cremonini (both born in 1980) are 2 Italian excellences. Among other things Tiziano Ferro, born in Latina, a small city 60 km from Rome, was bullied when he was small because he was overweight. His first album was titled 111, or the KG he weighed as a boy. Titian has taken great revenge on them. He did it, and he has all my respect. Now he lives in the US with his partner.

Nobody suggests others like him (and him until now) because the majority of your viewers don't appreciate the R E C E N T melodic ballads. (male and female singers that alike). We have here many fans of Vasco, many of songwriters, (most of them old already) , many fans of this this and that, meanwhile the 2000' singers are in a limbo now... I'm gonna edit this comment anyway, i have much more to say about It... And i just wrote this in a rush so i have to check everything later. EDIT: SO as i was saying, i could make you a mile-long list with names of all the Italian singers ( m&f ) that sing like this. And i'm talking about the recent ones from the 90' up until now. In this list almost every single one of them has an unique voice that you havent listened to yet! And who has got "just a nice voice" conpensates of course with extraordinary music and\or awesome lyrics. Elisa and Tiziano Ferro (and Giorgia) were the biggest ones at the beginning of the 2000s and DAMN that was BEAUTIFUL ! But melodic music\pop music Is beautiful now too! ( Fabrizio Moro, Diodato, Malika Ayane, Noemi, Max Gazzè, etc..) The lil' problem we have here is that among all these suggestions we lack diversity, or better say, we are missing the whole picture. Well, it's impossible to know all the music, but is also true that the suggestions here are very similar and no one actually worries about giving you the whole picture of ALL the music genres we have in Italy. Anyway, luckily, you had the opportunity to discover Fabrizio Moro (also duetting with Ermal Meta) Elisa, Carmen Consoli, Tiziano Ferro right now, Tiromancino, Irama (he Is versatile in more than one genre), Alice, We can throw Ligabue in this list too, Then we have Giorgia (another Big One from the 90's and 2000s!) And of course Anna Oxa, Giuliano Sangiorgi from Negramaro, The list of melodic singers goes on infinitely, and most of them mix everything with pop, rock, glam, etc... Le Vibrazioni has rock sound but they don't do exclusively that... And yes, i could list some recent ones you havent heard yet: Malika Ayane, Max Gazzè, Diodato, Chiara Galiazzo, Emma, Modá (name of the group) Nina Zilli, Cesare Cremonini, Elodie, Nek! Another Big from the 90'\2000s! And Eros Ramazzotti, another Big One! Alex Baroni (r.i.p.) Giovanni Caccamo, And if i may, i'd include the group il Volo that sings pop-opera ! I mean we really have RANGE! But since there have been SO MANY MAINSTREAM MELODIC POP SINGERS lately everyone Just complains about their existence! ¯\_( ͠° ͟ʖ °͠ )_/¯ I must say i know the singers in this utterly incomplete list, but i don't necessary listen to them 24\7 lol. I'm not gonna say who, it's all good music, i just have other preferences (Of course among them there are some i do like 😉)
