love watching these music producers and musicians in general react to the boy$.. as much as i love the music, i always myself stopped and replayed certain parts to pick out what im hearing.. its funny to me that you praise this whole production whilst $crim was heavy off drugs during these times.. it shows that this man is capable of things out of our touch. everything you hear is on purpose and meant to latch your attention.. with the lyrics, sound effects, the beats, chops and screws, samples and influence it’s all tied in by these two. i love the community as much.. people are understanding when it comes to reacting and the *59 community never fails to help inform the reactors to what they’re exactly hearing. all in all, it’s a good thing that’s happening and we are blessed to be hearing these two guys from new orleans do their thing

Thanks man! I'm just a hobbyist musician though haha :) But yeah, it's always amazing to find musicians who're able to craft such unique sounds. What astounds me is when you find out that some musicians have been able to write absolutely fantastic songs at like age 20 lol

The boys are by far my favorite artists of all time. Their production is just so unique. Scrim does all of the production on all of their projects, with he exception of a couple EPs. Please delve deeper into them. (You'll blow up too, haha)

The "I No Longer Fear The Razor Guarding My Heel" tracks are a saga that they've done over the years each with their own theme and style. Originally, Razor 4 wasn't going to be on this album, but it was a bonus track for the fans. Basically, the concept of the Razor sagas is 3 songs into one big song with transitions in between each song. I'd definitely check out I No Longer Fear The Razor Guarding My Heel 1 through 5 because the transitions, production and vocals are much better than Razor 4. Some of their best work imo. Great reaction and analysis btw❗️👍

That's so fucking rad! One of my favorite artists, Hungry Lights, also does this with his albums - Every one of them starts off with an instrumental called Aphotic Currents 1 through 4. It's a super cool concept haha And thanks man!

If you want a more cohesive album listening experience you should really listen to “Sing Me a Lullaby, My Sweet Temptation”. It release in 2022 and is a few years after Scrim (deeper, more gritty voice and their main producer) completely sobered up. IWDINO is stated to be his most hated album because of what he was going through when he made it, being heavily drugged up and more depressed than ever. Ruby (more melodic and sing-songy) shortly stopped using heavy drugs shortly after Scrim (around 2021) and SMALMST has a completely different feel and overall vibe and message comparatively. Love the reaction man, keep it up!

also, i know people have told you that the razor songs are a series that each consist of three songs, but i haven’t seen anybody tell you the titles for this one (the other ones are all separated and you can see the titles but not this one). the first part is “no salvation for the promise of salvation,” second part is “try howling at the moon while being strangled,” and the last part is “missed my cue for a curtain call.” they have a lot of very interesting titles, and the razor series is known for having long and very poetic titles

The reason carrolton is the most song is because it was the first single released for this album it is also the only song from the album that is put on their recent setlists

I love watching people react to SB, im a die hard fan and found them back in 2017. Like people have pointed out this album is hated by scrim because of how drugged up and depressed he was during its production but both scrim and ruby are clean now. Also i think you would enjoy Rubys solo punk project under the name 'Duckboy' and the Boys have few heavier songs like ultimate $uicide and Exodus which both have heavy metal like screaming. Also they did an EP with Travis Baker called 'Live fast Die whenever' which also has few punk like songs.

The older $uicideboy$ projects are very dark and some are quite angry and heavy aswell; this album revealed a bit of a change in sound with more harmonic singing and, if you believe it, more up-beat melodies. Also in terms of production. $crim has always utilised atmosphere and excentric sound-effects, but the specific, layered wall of sound that characterizes the "new" $uicideboy$ sound seems to have originated with this album. Interestingly, he got sober after it. Not that they're not aggressive anymore or that they weren't melodic before, but they have changed their ways of expressing anger and melancholy, within the realm of their style.

This album was made at the peak of their drug use, so that may explain the repetitive nature of the album. They have a lot more variety in their newer albums, and actually have a new one coming out in a couple weeks! Thanks for the reaction :)

I Wanna Die In New Orleans is their best album if you like old $B and their very specific sound. Yeah you're probably right - I guess that's the risk of doing the more raw types of reactions and breakdowns that I do 😅 And that's a good question, haha!
