@UltimateGamerCC8 жыл бұрын
sadly the PSP version is not the better sounding version, and it's a good game, you should push yourself to go through it, i dont think it'll disappoint.
@r100curtaincall8 жыл бұрын
agreed. the WSC version is the original, and has different art, but the GBA version is the best overall. the PSP on has some additional features, but the music has mostly gone to guitar and doesn't sound quite the same. it feels like a step backward, as opposed to Yggdra union where the PSP version is vastly superior to the GBA version. I have all 3 versions and its an unusual, but very good RPG, and takes several playthroughs to find everything.

I honestly love your GBA videos with Reggie and it's definitely turned me on to more games on one of my favorite consoles. Surprisingly, I'm surprised neither of you have had the Boktai games on any of these videos. Produced by Konami and Hideo Kojima, it had two games on the GBA, Boktai 1 and 2, which had a light sensor, which altered the gameplay. At night, if you ran out of ammo (your gun used the power of the sun to fire), you had to evade enemies and wait the next real life day to resupply. They were very good action RPGs. It also had a DS spinoff that was fantastic called Lunar Knights. I think Reggie in particular would love it. Also, Zoids Legacy is very cool, and one of the very few Zoids games that have been localized.

The GBA was the BEST handheld of all time.....life cycle lasted FOREVER, it played all Gameboy games from GB to GBC to GBA, and the GBA SP was small but comfy and had a built in light! As a kid I remember deciding if Playstation 2 or GBA was my favorite platform lmao
@sonicsega16998 жыл бұрын
best part about the gba is that a "hidden gems" list can go on and on. most people had a gba, but were sucked into the pkemon/mario/zelda/metroid trend, so for alot of us, practically any game is a hidden gem. now that i'm 25, i actually hate only owning first party nintendo games cus there is just so much more to love on their consoles that they don't want anyone to know about

Riviera is really something else. Such a strange way to level up though (that I'm not sure is better than worse than typical grinding with random battles). Between real battles you gotta select "practice" mode and train with each weapon and use it like 2 to 8 times to learn the overdrive move with it and every time you master a weapon you get a stat boost. Since your weapons have a limited number of uses and the only time you're not depleting that is with practice mode. Real battles during the storyline give you TP based on how well you fought. You're graded on time, damage taken, and the finish. The finish is what you really wanna nail and thats what you try to save your overdrive skills for. Some overdrives are so powerful they break the overdrive meter (like in the video, top left of the screen you can see it break) then no other character can use overdrive moves in that battle. The TP I mentioned earlier is used on examining something in your surroundings (like there might be a chest, or a rock, or a spring, or a mushroom etc etc) or for searching for alternate routes.

I would definetely reccomend Final Fantasy Tactics if you enjoyed Tactics Ogre, the director of Tactics Ogre had actually worked on the Final Fantasy Tactics series so there are lots of similarities between the two, especially the art style and both use isometric grid style gameplay.
