Big thumbs up for C&C been playing that since probably 95'. My best memory was my dad buying the c&c domination pack with red alert and expansions and playing skirmish with my dad and friends over two phone lines in our house before Lan times. Also, love that you worked for Sierra and used to play Colonel's bequest and share tips with a bunch of office ladies who worked with my parents and the incredible machine. Hugo's house of horrors was great too like king's quest and leisure suit Larry. Excellent video Metal Jesus, it brought back some memories!

This was such a good video MetalJesusRocks. I used to play PC games in 90s but on my older brother's Gateway desktop PC. Carmageddon was the one game I played a ton back then on PC. Tons of hours on it and seeing you make this video of all the PC games from that decade is cool. A ton of these games look good and Eidos was a great developer back then but didn't realize they made this many PC games! A lot of these games you showed I will definitely look into as well even though I'm a console gamer. Your videos on rare and retro games are amazing and I've seen many of those videos on your channel before too. Long time subscriber as well. I've always respected PC games because my best friend is a PC gamer, and he grew up in your generation back in 90s when PC was fun for games. I was always a console gamer. That's so cool. When I was first learning computer repair at the age of 12, my class partnered with stRUT ( Students Recycling used Technology) and we would fix these machines using all the spare parts we had. Some were really bad with CPU pins smashed into the socket the wrong way. A few times we meticulously straitened the pins and got them to work lol. We saw almost every problem imaginable and fixed them. Now I want an old machine!

Love the pc gaming room. Pc is the Goat I grew up on the NES but in 95 we got our first packard bell multimedia pc and was hooked. Through my youth I only had my NES and an n64. But the Pc is where I spent my most time. I remember when I upgraded in the early 00s and found out that windows no longer played well with duke 3d. So I pretty much always had one pc and ran the many different ports that became available over the years to run games like quake, doom, tomb raider, etc. I also played around with console emulation in the early days. Which brought me to my game room today. In 2012 I picked up a 32 inch trinitron for free and decided to hook up my old xp machine to it with s video and play some mario. Then it started to go into lets play some retro games like gta 3 but I then found that my gpu wasnt quite powerfull enough to play. So I started to thrift and classified shop to build what I ultimately have today. Both PCs are overkill I know which can be a problem with the 98 machine I sometimes have to downclock my cpu or use a ramdisk to eat up my extra memory. 98 machine hardware Biostar m7vig pro Amd athlon xp 2400+ running 2000 MHz 512 MB SDRAM PC133 ATI Radeon 9800 PRO AGP 3DFX Voodoo 3 2000 PCI SB Live! 150 GB IDE harddrive 90 GB SSD I am using it for bin cue backups of my cdrom games that seem to have micro pauses when loading red book audio. So im using a virtual drive with these files to fix the stutter. Dvd burner 3.5 floppy drive 3 80mm noctua case fans 1 40mm noctua cpu cooler fan Hooked up to a 5.25 drive bay fan controller Housed in a silver antec case This pc is 99 percent complete the only other thing I would like to upgrade on it is add a 5.25 drive bay iccy dock hot swap sata bay. So I can pull the ssd out quicker when im copying files around. Xp machine Asus P5N-D Intel X9650 OCd to 3.66GHz Cooler master hyper 212+ 4 GB DDR2 GeForce 9800 GTX+ in SLI SB Audigy 2 ZS 4 512 GB 2.5 HD in a 5.25 drive bay iccy dock hot swap bay 1 2TB internal HD Dvd burner This machine has a few upgrades I would like to do after some research I might look for 2 GTX 285s and I have 9 fans in this antec full tower case it is quite loud so its time to put some noctua fans in this one too. As far as peripherals go both machines are hooked up at all times into one ps2 kvm switch and a usb kvm switch. I run a vga switch box on the 98 machine to easily switch between the radeon card and the voodoo card. 19 inch samsung sync master 955df crt 22 inch samsung sync master 930b lcd vertical Crappy membrane ps2 dell keyboard Logitech ps2 ball mouse Logitech g602 wireless mouse Altec Lansing Acs340 Roland sc-55 mkii I have all the audio going through a 6 channel mixer and then to a 4 channel amp 2 logitech f310 controllers Microsoft sidewinder joystick Hori fighting stick mini 4 8bitdo wireless snes gamepad pro controllers Logitech g27 wheel setup As far as all the extras go I am looking for an roland Mt-32 and possibly someday a yamaha mu-80. Lastly I dont use my wheel as much as I would like so a stand so I dont have to set it up and stay commited to toca race drive 3 for a few days if I have a hankering for doom.

Thanks for this one, Jason! Always love anything where you show off your retro PC stuff. I recently upgraded to an nVidia Riva TNT2 from my ATI RAGE 2+ since a Voodoo III still seems a little too steeply priced for me, and it works incredibly for everything I play. I can swap files with my modern machine back and forth without hassle. I also bought a machine in same look what i had as my first pc with windows 95 pentium 1 166 mmx, but i changed graphics card for matrox millenium with voodoo 1. Well all that for playing some old titles what i had in mind and played in past in demo and i don't regret. I have a bunch of retro gaming PCs as well, but my favorite is our Dell Dimension 4100. When I was younger, I had it built to spec by Dell (back when they still let you customize them and they were built in the US) and still have it and we use it almost every day, 23 years later. We've gone through a few hard drives, a few fans and a few CD drives but it keeps going. The PS/2 ports gave out and I suspect there may be some other issues (PSU? Caps?) as the USB and Soundcard seem weak... It came with a P3 1ghz, 256mb of RAM, 2 CD drives (including 1 burner), a Dell Quiet Key keyboard, a Microsoft Intellimouse (ball version), a GeForce 2 MX200 and a Sound Blaster Live. It has only ever seen Windows ME, but it plays 90s and early 2000s games just fine. I still also have my original XP machine I built in around 2002 or 2003, also running an XP2600+. That was such a great processor.
