Metallia 3D sculpt in Blender - Timelapse 🎃

Today we're sculpting Metallia the Swamp Witch from The Witch and the Hundred Knight. No breakdown this time, just a timelapse of all the footage I recorded during the process. 🎃Happy Halloween! I wanted to record some audio for a workflow breakdown like I usually do, but I ran out of time to script, record, and edit. So instead, here's the timelapse footage of the sculpt Iv'e been working on for Halloween with music by MDK playing in the back. The construction season is ending soon, so I'll have more time to be able to focus on learning more 3d stuff and trying to make more interesting videos.

this is so inspiring. i often get discouraged during a sculpt of a character because it doesnt look anything like how i expect it to look. seeing your model in the early stages, looking nothing like the final product, then refining it into something so beautiful is super motivating. amazing job man

I've heard it referred to as the ugly duckling phase of sculpting, and it's definitely an important stage to get used to ^ ^

Modifying the reference art to get something proper to model off of is super simple and something I haven't seen many people do. I'll be using that for sure. Great work man.

Wait, if you imported this in to a 3d printing program, could you 3d print these models? That would be so cool to have all you creations in your room

Yes, but there may need to be adjustments made (or designed with printing in mind) to keep it structurally sound during printing with supports. And if they're big enough, you'd want to start considering making certain parts hollow, which would then mean needing drainage holes (assuming you print it with resin which allows for higher detail typically).
