This dresser is one that it took real vision to see what potential was there. The finished dresser is gorgeous but not over done. Thank you too for doing different products. Not everyone wants to spend the money or at least right away for Dixie Bell or the other pricey brands. Duke looks good! Hope he is seizure free. My Pitbull has to have surgery next month. Shes a love like Duke.

My favorite thing you could do would be to show us how each layer changes the look. I’ve had this question for a long ass time. • Sure you needed primer. But did it need to be that one? Was it cheaper than just using a dark primer? Or was it more about the chalk paint texture? • You painted it black which it used black at the end too. I didn’t pay attention well enough. Was this black the same black you started with? • You covered it with gold & black on top. You pretty much left that alone once you got what you liked. * But I wondered if you could have skipped the 2nd coat, which was black, and just used the roller with black and gold. * Would it have required twice as much paint had you skipped the coat of black? * Did you totally cover up that black? * Or is some peaking through? That’s where I’d want to see with and without that black coat. • then you applied gold but wiped it back off. • then you gold leafed it. Couldn’t you have just used the same gold you brushed on? I full well know YOU are an excellent artist and furniture artist painter. But I - not one at all - would like to SEE how these steps make your piece better than without all of the layers. Please don’t be offended by my questions. In fact, I ask YOU because you do know and feel what each of your pieces need in order to become such pieces of art. Thank you, Leslie

Wow, so beautiful and cool! Could you do what you did to the top of the dresser to a kitchen counter? If so, would it stand up to every day use? Love it!😀💓👏🖌️🎨
@NICUmommy073 жыл бұрын
I think you could definitely do this on a kitchen counter. The prep would probably be a little different. And I would use a clear, food safe, counter top epoxy over the top so it holds up. Stonecoat countertops epoxy is awesome.

What do you like better raiser stencil or the bead gel raised stencil I can’t decide they are both awesome and so many different looks you can do
@SableSunsets3 жыл бұрын
The beaded gel is beautiful without any paint or gilding wax over top it looks so beautiful over any paint color! I would try that before I were to try this in my opinion
@SableSunsets3 жыл бұрын
Gel
@itsleeleetv3 жыл бұрын
@@SableSunsets This was my exact question. What is the difference between glass bead gel and the texture effects? In a previous tutorial she mixed the paint color directly into the bead gel and here she painted over the texture effects. Is that the only difference?
