I wish they would pull out the full version too. I suspect they just want to keep the song moving. They've done the same thing with songs like Battery and The Four Horsemen. Got to love the odd meter crazyness of this tune. Opening riff in 7/4, verses in 6/4, and the lead up section to the 1st guitar solo with 6/4 to 7/4 back to back phrasing or 13/4. Lars keeping it groovy is amazing.

Some bands get to a point where they need to stop because they just don't sound good anymore. Metallica is one of those that has gotten better with age. The sound is really tight. James' voice has never sounded better and watching his right-hand play the intro to this just absolutely slays me. Kirk's soloing is so killer & he knows when to do a bit of improv or do the studio version. Happy Birthday by the way, Kirk. 🎂🎉. Rob's a beast doing an amazing job of holding up the low end which is no small feat considering the two guitarists he's playing with. Lars has traded in some of his power for finesse which seems like it just pushes the band to get even better. So glad they're still doing this.

James is starting to reap the rewards of actually learning to sing properly after the saga he went through with blowing out his voice in the 2000s

Killer performance! Lars and Kirk did great. I just wished they would finish playing that second solo section by Kirk.
