Whoever made this is a fuckin champ. Thank you. That night was so epic. That first five run in the beginning of the set was something else. I was in the lower right behind the soundboard in the end zone and my section collectively lost shit on Leper Messiah. Whole gig was great. Everyone is in top form and you gotta hand it to Lars. Really stepped up his live game.

I was there at Ford Field. This was the Friday show and it was a really good show. They sounded great. This was my first Metallica show since October 2003 at the Palace of Auburn Hills and my 12th live Metallica show since 1990 including the Y2K show New Years Eve 1999 at the Silverdome.

Thank you for this!!! These shows in Detroit were my 9th and 10th Metallica concerts, and I met James Hetfield at his book signing on the day between the shows! I was in section 110 row 15 for both nights. I truly believe they are the only heavy metal band who can fill an American football arena twice in a weekend for a full tour.

@@MrPerroLoco Honestly it doesn't sacrifice as much as you would imagine. Maybe one day I'll make a video about it, but the videos I use obviously aren't pro shot, and sometimes the guys are really high/low in frame. I actually manually adjust each clip vertically to make them fit in the frame better, and the cinematic aspect ratio gives me a good excuse. It's honestly really helpful to make the shots flow better. And thanks for the sub, I'm working on night 2 right now!

I saw Metallica in Detroit 20 years ago. Summer Sanitarium Tour. Limp Bizkit was there. Everyone was throwing trash at Fred Durst. He had some kind of beef with Eminem or something stupid. It’s so long ago it doesn’t matter. But, it’s Detroit and we’ve always loved Eminem. Em can do no wrong in our eyes 🤣.
