Be interesting to do The Warning's version of this song, which is much more melodic. They inspired me to start playing again after 20 years, but I need something more than the music I had left over from my earlier days...the Telemann and Brandenburg 6 are all well and good, but I need something more rocking.

I absolutely agree, at some point we hit the wall and what we need is a contrast in order to reach the next evolving level of the mind. After 20 years of living the classical music lifestyle, those recordings and guitar solos got me back 100x more motivated and absolutely open - minded musically :) Hope it will works great for you as well ☺

@@ViolaRocks Unfortunately, I only know how to read, and there isn't as much sheet music around for rock/metal. 30+ years ago as a one-shot I jammed with a jazz guitarist one evening and it was fun, but there are enough circumstances (full time job, family cancer issue primarily) right now that I won't have that opportunity any time soon.

Hey guys, love the Viola idea, only criticism to drop here would be you really need to work on your loudness mixing. The piano "drowns" everything. By which I mean it slaughters everything else, including the drums in the most brutal, bloody and metal way I've heard so far.

Unfortunately I haven't written it yet but I'm currently working on it, to write down all the material so I could share it with you. Meanwhile, I suggest you to slow down my recording and try to learn it by ear, that's also how I learn best and it helps a lot for ear training :) All the best!

Hmm. This may be a matter of preference, but I would have liked for the viola part to be a bit more prominent in the mix (i.e., its volume louder relative to the other instruments). The percussion, in particular, is a bit overpowering in places. I know, I'm picky.
