WE ARE APPROACHING 2K SUBSCRIBERS!!
Metallica had a major influence on me musically at a very young age. Lars gets a lot of backlash, but deep down we all love Lars and his abilities, especially the older albums. Who doesn't love Battery, Master of Puppets, One? You name it! For MAYtallica month, I decided to start with 'For Whom The Bell Tolls'. Not only is it a well-built but interesting framework formed song, it tells the story of wartime and death, inspired by the Ernest Hemingway novel, one of the greatest. The Cliff Burton ominous bass intro starts this thing off giving it that apocalyptical march feel to it. Almost feels like the vibe of Pantera's Walk in sort of a way. This track was fun to record and I tried to keep it true to the structure and groove as the original drum parts. This song makes you feel like your preparing for battle, especially those opening and closing bell sounds! Thank you all for listening/watching. I hope you enjoy this one. I freakin love all of you. RIP Cliff Burton.
Here is "For Whom The Bell Tolls" written by Metallica from their 'Ride The Lightening' album, 1984. Original drums were written by Lars Ulrich.
