Played a ESP and the Gibson explorer. The ESP wins IMO. they did have different pick ups. One was passive and the other were battery operated EMG-81-85

Lefty here. I'd been hunting for a lefty explorer for years. Gibson did a run for 2018 (I think the last time they made lefties was like '84-85) and I finally got one. It's my holy grail.

He went to some bands' rehearsal room * insert name here* and played their kit for fun and realized how easy it was to play the high hat when there were only 2 toms on the kit and didn't make the high hat seem very far away ..this happened in 94 . Someone's got a time machine to stop this XD

i once saw an interview with Lars where he said that they rented drum kits in each city on the Justice tour.. after building that epic stage setup, they didn't have the budget or room to drag a drum kit around the world for 2 years..

With James talking about the V, and getting it between his legs for solos, I can remember hearing a story of Dave Mustaine going from his V to an Explorer shape. Things are going fine but when it came solo time, get that V between my legs and...... dude what!? Dave's struggling with the new guitar he looks over at his guitar tech who's killing himself laughing, as he knew that would happen with the change to the Explorer. Welcome to that club Dave. Explorers are just flat out cool, wouldn't mind one myself one day.
