I remember in an interview the producer said he got rid of the bass as a joke to compare to the other albums, yet Lars ended up loving it since he’s always liked having the guitars a little louder. Yet in later interviews when the band would be asked why Lars would always say “There was bass in Justice right?”…

+PaleBlueDot Yeah, Master of Puppets has great drumming, such is in Battery and Disposable Heroes. Hell, even despite the horrific sound of the drums on St Anger, he technically performed some of his best drumming IMO. His drumming, his fills, everything was too boring for me on Load/Reload.
