I haven't forgotten. I am amazed at the talent 🙌 Metallica has. As if they've had a bit of supernatural help. Yes, I think they're that good!! No other metal band can touch their talent! None of them! The Metallica sound is so special! If you love Metallica, you notice that sound right away!!!

But it doesn't sound as heavy or as even. The tonality of the upstroke is different than the down stroke and for Master of Puppets it just doesn't sound right. For a song about the dangers of drugs and alcohol you want that jack hammer down picking sound.

PaleBlueDot yea I never said he was a bad drummer, in 1985-1994 he was a badass, I mean his speed on battery live 1989 was crazy. lars is very talented but because he never learned the rudiments now he pays for it. He cant play as drug fueled and aggressive as he used to. dave lombardo is not as good as he was but he learned rudiments so he cant rely on technique rather than aggression. Even with that being said Lars is my favorite member of metallica and one of my favorite drummers.

I had seen this way back when it first aired. I had forgot how bad Kirk was at interviews. Lars and Jason were always great at interviews. James is good also, but it`s not his thing. I also find it funny is says Dave Mustine `left`the band.

@@bribear0030 No, they still dated when TBA was released, they broke up during the following tour. I guess any relationship would've suffer some serious dents when they were apart for nearly two years. James wasn't the only one who lost his girlfriend cause of that tour.

Look at how young our boy Kirk is! He's the oldest and has always looked the youngest! Adorable!!! Also did I hear James's guitar tech right? He said James used to jump in to the crowd? Has anyone ever seen this? In real life or on video? Wow, I didn't think he'd do something like that, lol! Kool, good for him for being so into it!! Wish I'd of seen him do it though!!

It's funny to watch them from this era, because they talk a lot about being proud to represent the heavy metal category for example, and be a member of this genre. They seem to really care about it. Nowadays in interviews they just say "ohhh...we don't like to be labeled, bla bla bla".

Metallica on the 88 and 89 Damage Justice tour plus Queensryche opening for them on their Operation Mindcrime tour is just epic. Prog metal and Thrash at it's best during the late 80s. Grunge happened not long after this and destroyed most metal acts until a resurgence in 95.
