Great show! Best concert I've ever been to. The audience 'pans' do it no justice. If you had short hair and a pressed T, you were TOSSED out of the pit, which took up the entire 'general seating' section (floor). I was 19 at the time, and was assaulted just by guys 'running the bleachers'.. there were NO GIRLS in the pit.. those you see, left the floor quickly.. It was insane.. Very cool.. nothing like it left.

With that comment, I declare a truce. I agree with you that the sound of the drums on St Anger blows. That snare drum sounds terrible! I love Slayer and Megadeth too. even if I don't think Lars is a great drummer, old school Metallica is some of the best metal ever written. Their first five albums represent some of the best that metal has to offer.

First of all im no way a musician in any way so i dont pay attention to the little details as much as you probably do. What i love about metallica are there riffs, speed, creativity, etc. i never said he was a great drummet, hell he himself admits to that. But i never started to get annoyed by his drumming until st.anger when changed his kit. And lastly of i course i listen to other bands such as slayer, megadeth, corrosion of conformity, etc. And my entire mudic storage r only metallica songs.

I have no beef with Megadeth, but... I don't care if Mustaine descended from fucking heaven to kick off Megadeth's live shows, neither them nor anybody else will EVER have the stage presence of Metallica. After a few minutes of watching Live Seattle 89' videos, I want to smash my computer to pieces over the desk it sits on purely from the adrenaline rush.
