This song feels like an uplifting anthem that Hardwires itself 😜 into your head lol. It's not a mind blowing song, but it wasn't supposed to be. I really hope we get some more songs like "Spit Out The Bone", "Halo On Fire", "The Judas Kiss", and hopefully another instrumental like "Su*cide And Redemption'".

@@BaldHeadedMETAL yep, the new album is called 72 Seasons (meaning the first 18 years of your life) and it's going to be released in March or April of 2023. I'm very excited for it, I wish they wouldn't take 6 years to release an album like they did from Death Magnetic - Hardwired and Hardwired - 72 Seasons.

I like it. For me, it was Kill em All meets Fuel with a healthy dose of Motorhead's Overkill. Not complicated or original but it hits the sweet spot.James sounds fantastic. Death Magnetic and Hardwired were pretty solid, and I am hoping 72 Seasons will be too.

Hey brotha, have you ever heard of Byzantine? If you haven't, I would highly recommend their song "Justinian Code". I describe Byzantine as a Progressive Groove Metal band with some Thrash and Metalcore elements in some of their songs, they're a pretty experimental band who has a variety in their style. If that sounds interesting to you, please check them out.

Exactly. I got the Kill Em All vibe too. It's them trying for that sound as opposed to coming naturally. It is also rock oriented I agree. It's not perfect, not completely organic, but know what? I'm pleasantly surprised. Great reaction!

Lol at your cat. One day you'll come home and your tree will be toppled. As for the song, I was expecting the worst, but it was better than I expected. Having said that, I don't expect the album to be very good overall. I don't know what's happened to Kirk's soloing ability, but it has essentially disappeared.

My favorite new Metallica tune since "All Nightmare Long". Definite Kill 'Em All vibe, with awesome lyrics ("Commiseration, sonic salvation!"). I cannot sit still listening to this killer song...I'm betting that has a lot to do with Lars' awesome double-kick beat, but when you add that riff into it...spectacular. Yes, I'm more of an 80s Metallica fan, and not sorry about it: that doesn't take anything away from fans of their 90s+ material, to each their own.

Love this song and video from my favorite band but your cat…it kept reminding me of Christmas Vacation. I was wondering if there was going to be a big poof and cat screeching. Better keep it away from the 🌲💨

My only gripe with Lars is that he became lazy and stopped practicing/improving his technique, his early work was amazing and creative (especially on AJFA). He definitely has improved in recent years though, James's vocals have improved a lot over the years and his guitar playing is still really tight. Kirk has some of the same issues Lars does, and Rob is definitely the life of the band since he joined (best decision Metallica made in years, I have a ton of respect for Rob). I have a deep love for Metallica, they were the band that started my metal journey. Their last 2½ albums (Beyond Magnetic = ½) have been great, I'm soooo freaking excited for the new album!!!
