How do you record your guitars?

I have all my gear in the description. I have a microphone in front of my cabinet which goes straight into my interface followed by my DAW. Before I hit record, I start recording with my computer's camera app (the camera isn't that good of quality, but it's all I got). After I start recording with my computer's camera app I hit record in my DAW. After I'm done playing a part, I stop recording on both. And finally, I bring both files (audio and video) into capcut, line them up as close as possible, and mute the audio coming from the video so you hear only the high quality audio being recorded through the DAW.

@NeilTaneja I use ableton live 11 lite because it came for free with my scarlett 2i2 interface. Also plugins and vst's and stuff like that confuses me too much still, so I don't really know too much about that unfortunately. I just record with a microphone.

I started learning about 6 and half years ago. Unfortunately I'm not the best person to ask for tips from... you know the approach people take where they throw someone into a pool and expect them to learn to swim on their own? As a "self taught" guitar player that's kind of the approach that I used. I just started playing notes and strumming chords until everything fell into place. One thing I can say tho is that your fingers on your fretting hand are going to hurt for the first few weeks as your calluses build up on the tips of your fingers. This is normal, just keep practicing until the pain goes away.
