My Prophecy not muted but very faint
@bonzi97455 жыл бұрын
It wasn't really muted in any of their albums, it's only usually drowned a lot after Cliff died. Listen to the albums Cliff was on, then the ones Jason was on. There's a huge difference, because you can hear the former loud and clear, and the latter is extremely drowned. An example would be on And Justice, where Lars lowered the bass so far it's barely audible, and maxed out the drums. This results in a bass that gets overlooked, and really ear piercing drums. And Justice was still a great album.

My Prophecy they always muted Jason Newsted, but now since Robert, they’ve turned up the volume. Not fair, I loved Jason also.

Szabó Tamás, just watched this, and I had three thoughts. (1) They are still tight, and are enjoying themselves. (2) We can actually hear Trujillo in the mix. And, (3) James sounds great on vocals, after all these years. So glad I saw them twice, back in the day. Justice & Black Album tours, both at the Cap Center.

People don' appreciate Kirk enough. James is the singer and sometimes simplifies the riffs because Kirk is always spot on through the whole song. As for his solos, they are freaking awesome. He wrote some of the best solos ever.

lllblisslll , I know you're not familiar with guitar, but try this: make the motion like you're picking back and forth across a string at a relatively slow pace. Now, try it again but do it twice as fast. If you downpick everything you have to bring your pick across the string twice as many times as alternate picking would require. It without a doubt causes you to hit the string harder, so that's essentially why downpicking is better for rhythm. That and your wrist is naturally faster on the downpick than picking up.

@targipgadponson56744 жыл бұрын
No you're not hearing things. The line in the song at that point on the record is "fix me" but Cliff Burton used to think that James was saying "pancakes" for some reason. So out of James's admiration of Cliff, it's tradition during live performances to keep it in. Though there are live recordings of MoP where he still says "fix me" and I think at least one other, rarer phrase, "pancakes go" or just "pancakes" is the most common line before the lead.
