@@Kyriakoskarystinos No, not at all. I checked for this particular concert, and he sings exactly the same. Sure, Post-Processing is done, but that is absolutely normal. It's not the untouched board audio. Real footage is usually done with shitty mics of smartphones which cannot cope well with the audio pressure levels presented at a big concert, so all sounds squishy, canny, weak and overwhelmed.

I think over quarantine with doing the live stream for AWMH and Stern shows they started playing to click. I think they need to do some tweaking for some songs (sad but true sounds almost too slow for a live tempo) but overall it’s a general improvement cause Lars is a lot tighter so therefore the band is too. What I truly appreciate about Metallica is how you can hear every album they’ve ever recorded in this song. They don’t abandon influence, the use it, it fuels them, what made them angry before, or what made them ride the lightening is now artistically packaged to prove that they are now the master of their own justice.

This is literally the best James has sounded since the 90s. The whole band really. Kirk and Lars have clearly been practicing, and Rob is just, well, Rob.

you literally have not heard most of their shows in the last 15 years or you dont remember them at all. I could find you a lot of shows where he sounds much better than here. any time Metallica upload a live performance there is somebody saying "James has not sounded this good in years" BS. you guys dont know your shit. thats all.

@@IASP17 Lol my guy, I watch almost all of their live videos. 2000-2010 they sounded pretty terrible, James' voice was blown out, Kirk was sloppy, Lars was sloppy, etc. 2010-2015 James started sounding a lot better, but Kirk and Lars were still sloppy. The past few years all of them have sounded much better, but James sounds killer here, and Kirk played cleaner than he has in a long time. I've seen them live in person many times, I am a HUGE Metallica fan. Think twice before telling someone they don't know their shit.

@@IASP17 Lol idiot, Kirk and Lars played horrible in the early 2010’s. They started significantly better in the last few years

@@IASP17 totally agree mate, the fanboys cannot accept whenever their idols have a bad night, and I love Metallica do not get me wrong, but these last performances sound like the slow the tempo on purpose so Lars is more comfortable playing along. And yes indeed James sounds pretty weak in this one.

@@serroche I dont mind the way they play it. its ok. mostly I do enjoy their shows. but like I said there is always somebody saying "Hets voice is back" or "he sounds better than he did in the last 20 years" and its like not true. he is kinda consistent for the last 15 years. sometimes he sounds pretty good. sometimes not so good. like here. he has his good and bad shows. his voice is not becoming better.
