All the guitars from the album (James and Kirk of course, harmonies on verse 2, various guitars on chorus etc...) and main LiVE variations bring to the song over the years (the strumming verse, the 2 chorus's modifications in 95 and 2009, how to play the Chorus like the album or how they do in Black Tour era) After re studying it again, here is what i think to be the final version of the song. Don't miss some informations written in the video !

Fantastic! So are your tabs $5 us dollars? Did you ever think about offering Guitar pro tabs as well? I like practicing with those so I can slow things down and learn them proper. Great job and I look forward to your next lesson!

@sixstringslayaguitarman419 hey friend. My tab are 7€ - dont know exactly the conversion with US dollars. And you can have the Black Album songbook for good price if you look my paypal page 📄 I try work on my tab in the same way i do with my video to be lot way better than the Guitar Pro edit who is not really good at all ( good for writing, i use it only for this)

@@JulienMENARD not at all, We enjoy all your work and we know you will complete the album but it takes so much time to complete all the process between practice, filming, editing. Thanks man for your words, it's nice to have some feedback from you guys, and yes you got the point, it takes so much time, and the practice for some songs really kick ass ^-^ But the initial phrase was funny by its own - the contrast with nothing and frayed ends lol Let's work for some others great tunes !

All the Metallica songs I know, I only know the live versions 😂 I think that’s better than studio anyways ! It’s always better, especially when they harmonize almost every song they play live ! 🔥 I think lots of songs are better live than studio, I’ve always advocated for them to remake all their albums but play the way they do live. I think a prime example is Fade to Black.
@JulienMENARD2 жыл бұрын
Fade To Black is the perfect exemple of course. As you probably noticed, I played my FTB video with LiVe inspiration (Live Shit era) Me too, i prefer when they harmonize without chords behind, just bass & drums. But i recommend to listen both, studio and live. Live version can help to understand better the studio version, to come back on it with more "clairvoyance".

That's great attention to detail putting the Am in the chorus. I wonder why they started doing that.
@JulienMENARD2 жыл бұрын
In details we trust. I think they change cause it’s really more confortable to play like this and it sounds better than regular A major chords played in the way they did at this time ( only two guitars) without multiple guitars you can have in studio version. But this just my thoughts. By the way the last way is for me the best way, sounds amazingly open , really easy to play too so here we go !

I realised last week when i was listening to this song live that the intro Kirk is doing now is slightly different (adding a slide at 0:23), and the final chord at 1:16 is also changed I think it is based on D bar chord minor ? i'm not sure of the name.... Anyway very good tab video, i think it is the most accurate we could find at the moment :)
@JulienMENARD10 ай бұрын
C'mon friend... It should be the most accurate TAB you will find later too ^-^ Kirk add a Bm11 (without the bass) A - D - E (bottom to top) but James still play B (major) chord.

nice but final solo does not sound like origin, at 5:48 there should be some screwing sound, i dont know, like deep and fast vibrato which is definetly not (sorry i'm not a musician), maybe it depends on amplifier and effects. anyways i remember this sound from childhood, it just goes throught the body, it'not that flat and clean like in your version. good job anyway
