When my dad came to the US to go to college in the late 90s, he got into metal and rock music like crazy. He kept half of his dorm cabinets with CDs and tapes of all his favorite bands, notably Metallica. Later on, as I started to grow up, we listened to his favorite CDs in the car on the way to work, school, or anywhere else. I remember us jamming out to all his favorites, which started to grow on me. Now, as I myself start to soon begin my college journey, I reflect on all the good times we’ve had.
